That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an anything. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could answer your Medifast question..
I have a post-it note on my computer monitor that says "It's NOT about the number" to remind me that my journey here is not ruled by the scale. There are so many other factors that we need to remember, most importantly how you FEEL...
Johanna - You are a wise MFer and are going to rock this program!..
Thanks everyone!! I can't go wrong by following the plan and the guidelines. This plan is tried and true. I am not going to tweak it because I know I will set myself up for a downward spiral. I bought 3 months worth of product and I am not going to let anyone or anything stand in my way. I am surprised at the folks that just want to have 5 medifast supplements and no lean and green. I like food so I am not going to give that meal up besides, I need all the nutrition I can get.
I am learning what combinations to put together to keep my calories and carbs in check. And if anyone thinks I am going to give up eating shrimps and scallops, they are wrong!!! :-)..
I agree! I refuse to be a slave to the scale. I am measuring my success in different ways. I am staying awake longer, I sleep better, I get up before the alarm.
Whodda thunk??? and my legs are not feeling so numb. Just feeling better physically is a gift!..
Good for you! You have the right attitude. Our bodies will lose the weight when and how it is ready to. All you need to do is stay op and let the program do the rest. You're off to a great start with a great attitude. I wish you the best in your journey.
But....it sure is nice when the number generator smiles for you...
My scale isnt moving as quickly as id like but ive dropped 1.5 inches on my hips in 2.5wks so something working! Even my calves have gotten smaller my knee high boots were loose! Craziness. Def not focusing on the scale!..
You are definitely on your way. I know that for me it's hard to not want to see what the scale has to say, however, I do know that inches are lost before pounds are. Which is why I will focus more on what my clothes are telling me rather than the scale..
Although, I must say I did sneak a peak at my scale this morning and was pleasantly surprised (18lbs down in my 5 days on MF) but it was more the curiosity. Especially since my first day was so rough..
Much Medifast Succes To You..
I have decided that I'm tired of being the scale's "slave", so I told my husband to take it out of the house. I think I'm going to have him keep it away from me for about 2 months and just stay on plan and keep on keeping on. I'm tired of worrying about the stupid ups and downs. My clothes are continuing to get too big (although that has slowed down a bit since I'm closer to goal) so I know I'm heading in the right direction..
I feel like breaking out in that George Michael song, "Freedom", LOL! I'm liberating myself from the scale!!..
Thanks Johanna for posting thisI am one of the ones upset by the scale not budgingBut you are so right in everything you said and it has given me inspiration to stay strong and keep on going Thanks..
I like the way you think!.
I keep trying to remember to focus on how I FEEL on this diet compared to my ill managed diet before hand.I have tons of energy and I just feel less weighed down...even if I am only 6 pounds lighter..
For me a lot of this journey has to do with a mental battle and not a physical one. NSV are my friend!!Keep up the good work...
