Got a question, hope someone can answer... Why does Medifast always advertise on FOTS News EVERY commercial break? Many thanks for any answer. Another question on my mind: Don't mean to be a pest with all the questions. I tried to log in Brussel Sprouts, but that is not on the list. Is that a food we are not suppose ti have? No big deal if not, didn't like them anyway..

I even tried other foods. I type in a food and no matter what I typr it says it can't be found. I am having a lot of problem working my way around this board...

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an good answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could answer your Medifast question..

Yes, Brussel Sprouts are too high in carbohydrates for the 5/1 phase of the plan. Here is a link to a thread that has a vegetable conversion chart. If the vegetable is not on this chart, don't eat it...

Yes, the 5&1 is the weight loss phase of the program. You will stay on that until you reach your goal. Did you get a copy of the QuickStart guide with your order? That explains a lot, what is allowed for veggies, lean protein, etc. If you don't have a copy, under Success Tools at the top: Eat right, on the right hand side you will find the QuickStart guide under Medifast Plan materials. When you lot your food, carbs should generally be between 80-100 a day while on the 5&1...

When you log your lean & green meals you need to be sure to pick the type of meat (meat, poultry, fish/seafood, etc.) before you pick the specific meat. Or, if you are using the Other Foods area, again, be sure to click on the Lean & Green tab, then select the type of food from the drop down list, then type in what food you are looking for....

It takes some time to learn the idiosyncrasies of the Log Meals page, but it's worth it in the end.....

I so wish there was an app for this. I get all kinds of errors when trying to use it from my smart phone. What a pain in the ***...

I do too. I started a thread about it too. My fitness pal has an app that has all of the Medifast food in it.you could use that. You just can't sync it to this site though...

There are other apps that also log food, and have the entire Medifast food list in their databases. I use MyFitnessPal.com's app on my iPhone and love it. I think there are Android versions available, too. Several others here use other apps like that and are happy with them...

I may try a different app because I am keeping a small notebook (actual pen & paper!!!) but don't like having to transfer all the stuff to this website..

Good point, Julie, that it wont sync- so I wont get the reports, charts, analysis, etc. Bummer...

Julie, I am not sure where your post is but I saw a suggestion from one of the registered ideticians and took that- email.



And tell them. I doubt anyone with anyone with any leverage reads our posts but maybe they will see our emails..

Oh, and I downloaded the MyFitnessPal app in the meantime....
