My next question is: Did/Does NS once offer Peanut butter spread? my co-worker has some and I was wondering how old is that? I have never seen that before...

They use to have it and I liked it but one day it just vanished..

I ordered it once and thought it was one of the worst things I've ever had from NS. It didn't taste like peanut butter, and had a runny consistency. As soon as I bit into it, I knew I'd much rather just have real peanut butter as a fat, if I had to have peanut butter. That lunch was sooooo not worth it...

Thanks for the answers I did place this measage on two boards. I needed an answer because my co-worker is going of NS and has giving me a lot of her foods and will be giving me the rest today. I was just wonderin about the peanut butter spread I had seen her with before the holidays...

Most of us order PB2 from http://www.bellplantation.com/ It is not bad at all and easy to mix into things. Great spread on apples..

When I bought some NS food a few months ago from someone on craigslist, some NS peanut butter was included. It wasn't bad. Not as good as the real thing, but not bad. I do like PB2 better though...

Twice on one forum and once on another. That was overkill in my opinion...

Try the PB2. I received my order yesterday. I added a bit of splenda to the mixture, and it tasted just like the real thing! Way too tempting!.

If you're interested in peanut butter that tastes "just like the NS pb" and has the same stats, try Better 'n Peanut Butter. Whole Foods sells it, and I did get it once at Trader Joe's...

I just received it also but haven't tried it yet...

I agree with Sharon. She turned me on to the Better 'n Peanut butter and it tastes great. I tried twice at Trader Joes but it must sell really fast. I did get it at Whole Foods...

Yes, NS offered a lunch entree PB Spread for about 4 months last year, given the shelf life of such items, I'd expect that while it hasn't been available to most of us for probably 8 months it's still good if you can find any when it appeared on the order list, it was touted as part of the "new" foods put out in early 2007, but it was discontinued very quickly with the explanation that it was a "temporary" offering to "hold a place" on the order form for new foods you've noticed all the new foods, haven't you???.

There is also a product called Better 'n Peanut Butter that people have found at Trader Joe's & other local stores I forget the quantity, but 150 calories worth is a very near match for the NS PB Spread lunch entree, serve on 45 cal Melba Toast (or alternative).

Here's their web site has a store locater http://betternpeanutbutter.com/.
