I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I find an decent answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could answer your Medifast question..
You would need to look at the nutrition. Under Success Tools, at the top of this page, go to Eat Right and all the lists are there on the left hand side towards the bottom. I see lots of MSF items on the Meatless Options, but not those very patties. Below is what Nutrition says about the guidelines..
Hi Yetta, my name is Jennifer and I am a Registered Dietitian with Nutrition Support..
Congratulations on your weight loss!.
The Lean portion of the Lean and Green should provide 250-300 calories, more than 25 g of protein and less than 15 g of carbohydrate (the lower the better). Fat intake should be between 10-30 g for the day, with at least 10 g with your Lean and Green meal. I have attached the Meatless Options for you to review as well..
Hope you find this information helpful..
Jennifer, RD, LDN..
Thanks everyone. I had a feeling that would the Chik'n Patties would be too high in carbs. I did check out the Eat Right info. Thanks for reminding that it is here...
I love the Chik'n patties! I was sad to see that they are too high in carbs for this plan but I look forward to eating them in maintenance. The pizza burgers are on plan and they are really yummy!..
I've been curious about this as well, I've never had any MS products so wasn't sure what is acceptable and what isn't. They seem to be a very convenient way of getting my lean for the day. Thanks for posting this question min!..
I think the chicken patties are fabulous too, but alas, they will have to wait. My hubby eats them all the time though..
The general rule they have given for veggie products is that each serving should have less than 6g of carbs...
Unfortunately, if it's breaded you probably can't have it..
Yeah but them pizza burgers have 7g per patty,,,,,,ssshhhhhhhhh....dont tell Medifast lol..they are my fav!!..
I tried the MSF Vegan Grillers tonight....the taste was ok but HOLY STINKBOMB, Batman! My whole house stunk like I had skinned a skunk. I nuked 'em, but I can see that if I have those again I'll have to fire up the grill outside..
Do all MSF products smell like that when cooking?..
LOL this made me laugh...ive grown up veggie and our family has ate msf products forever and I think they smell sooooo good. yumm! Funny how when my guy is frying a steak it makes me gag from the smell. Just goes to show how we get used to things and wut our brain relates smells to. (btw I think the boca burgers smell aweful...and the quorn products...)..
BayouVoodoo I had the Chik'n Grillers the other night and I thought they smelled like a chicken burger on the grill. Try another variety/flavor of MSF and you might find they don't smell as bad. But thats good to know about the Vegan Grillers. I'll remember that for the future!..
I don't know what it is about the Vegan Grillers, but I agree, they stink up the entire house. My husband eats them daily, and even if I am across the house in another room, I know when he's making one. It is a downright rank odor...
Just be careful about the meatless options as they will probably run your carb count up for the day if you are trying to stay between 80-85 grams a day. I do like the MSF/Boca products that are on plan...
This was my first foray into fake meat products. I didn't mind the taste at all, but wow....that smell. Sharp, acrid, and just plain ol' funky. lol My stepson came out from his room and asked me if I was cooking the mystery meat his school served. Said it smelled the same..
I'll try some of the other OP choices, though. I can always use the grill or turn on the fan. lol..
Yeah i've never had any MSF or boca products before, I loves me my actual meat. However these seem to be convenient on my days when I really don't want to cook ANYTHING (which admittedly is often...). Thanks for the info though I'll keep an eye out on the carbs!..
