Quick question: What's the difference between the fat smash diet and the Medifast Diet? Looking forward for any answer or 2. Another question I got... So, this is only day 3, and weight is dropping, but I am HUNGRY! Is there hope for me? Will my stomach shrink soon?.

Also, i'm scared thath i'll have to me on Medifast for the rest of my life. One day, after I reach goal, will I be able to OCCASIONAlly have carbs or even pizza?.

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I find an decent answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably can answer it..

Give it a few more days- soon you will be in ketosis and the hunger will subside..

As for reaching goal and having carbs- you are the only one that can answer that. When you go through transition and maintenance you will slowly introduce things back into your diet and see how you feel, do you gain weight? did it set off other cravings? so that will happen after you get to goal. I learned from experience that sugar is not something I will be able to add back to my "diet". It is NOT good for me!.

I'm on day 10 now, the first 3 days were the worst. I was soooo hungry and it didn't help that I was on TOM and it was throwing my everything out of whack. The 4th day though was a bazillion times better. I wasn't as hungry, the headache was gone, and I just felt better. By the 5th day I was in ketosis and was more focused on my ketosis breath than I was about anything else.

Keep with it, stay patient, DRINK WATER, and it will be alright!..

Just keep staying OP for a couple of more days and it WILL get better. Also, try having a cup of broth or 2 pickle spears if you need them...

Yes you are a whimp!!! Suck it up NEWBIE!!! there's no whimpering on MEDIFAST!!!.

Lol I'm kidding. You are new and not used to this. It's like carb withdrawl. You will be ok. Have.some advil, drink a cup of chicken broth, or eat two pickles and drink water like you stole something!!.

As far as carbs, that maybe something you evaluate. some may never be able to have it for good, some can go back and be ok. look at Medifast as a lifestyle change and not a DIET..

If you are craving certain foods, you can make low carb alternatives for your L&G!!!!.

Two words: cauliflower pizza.....and the rest of the words: saved.

My life!!.

I went to Walmart. Dill pickle spears. Nothing fancy..

My suggestion is to go on all the boards, read EVERYTHING and ask questions. If you make a whoopsies, it's cool! I kept a printout of mixing instructions, l&g measurements, any answers from Nutritional support. Before you post, search the topic first and then ask the question before you post and HAVE FUN!!!!..

Like everyone else said, it does get better! I hate the first 3-5 days and feel awful but it goes away soon enough and it feels awesome to be free of cravings and hunger. You can do it!..

I thought I'd die of hunger the first week...and everyone here was sooo nice and reassured me it would get better. I'm hear to say it does!.

Dill pickle spears and chicken broth...saved me!.

I have also found that if I add the essential 1 calorie burner strawberry/lemonade to my water I feel fuller longer... however, trust me as one who could eat a whole can of pringles in a sitting and go for more... it does get better... for the past week or so I have to force myself to eat my Lean/green... would rather just skip it but it is a must to follow this plan!! Good Luck..

Remember how crappy this feels so when you're tempted to go off-plan, you can think about what it takes to get back into ketosis. Fear of doing the first week again kept me on track lots of times..

It'll be fine; it just takes a few days and then you get to start posting about how you sometimes forget to eat...

OMG Best advice EVER!!.

LOL I took ALOT of little naps in the beginning, just to get through the hungry phase..

Another good tip is to drink a big glass of water. I STILL use that trick. It helps me reach my daily water intake, makes my tummy feel full, and makes me feel wonderful that I successfully stayed OP..

Also, once you reach goal, yes, you'll be able to have carbs and pizza...BUT!! You may be surprised when you find that you don't crave those things quite as much as you do at the moment..

Above all things....remember that you can do this!!! You are almost past the most difficult phase, and your 1st week weigh in will be so empowering!!..
