Hi everyone, quick 1st question: What is the pill that cleans your system....that you can buy at just a normal Vitamin Shoppe?.

My 2nd question is: I love the Orange Julius that is in the NS recipe form, which uses yogurt and orange juice, and I love to put fruit in my yogurt, but does anyone have any ideas on how to make good smoothies? I keep looking at the frozen fruit in the grocery store, thinking that it would make a good smoothie, but I am just not sure how to go about making one. That is, one that has good stats and all. Any ideas? Thanks!..

Correction the yogurt I use is Dannon Light & Fit but you can use any brand that matches the NS stats...

I've been doing a smoothie every morning and have gotten hooked on them. I use either CarbMaster or Vanilla Greek yogurt, 1/4-1/2 cup orange juice and some frozen fruit (I usually use 2 of my fruit servings for this). I bought some perfectly ripe bananas and cut them into 2"-3" pieces, put them on a cookie sheet and put them in the freezer until they were solid then put them into a freezer bag. I sometimes slice one up into the smoothie and it gives it a great taste and helps thicken it up..

This morning's was Vanilla Greek yogurt, orange juice and frozen peach slices. YUMMMMYYYYY!!!! And it actually keeps you full...

I just made a smoothie since I just got a blender, I used 1 orange 1 serving of pineapple and 1 vanilla yogurt. It's really good...

Do you add ice? I'm planning to use frozen banana, PB2, wf choc syrup with Dannon plain light yogurt and some splenda. Is that all I need? Never made one before but would like it to be thicker like a shake..

Hey nana2four!.

Do yo use regular frozen fruits or speciality ones? I know that I have seen Yoplait frozen fruits before that say smoothie on the bag. Is there any difference, or does it not really matter which one you use? Thanks bunches!..

I concocted this smoothie,, 2 tablespoons whey protein,,8 oz skim milk, small banana sliced, 1 cup crushed ice, and put in blender....

So I count it as 1 protein, 1 diary, and 1 fruit..I guess you could add some splenda ,,I also tried it with strawberries...

I make smoothies frequently; it's a great filler if your hungry and a great way to get a dairy and fruit serving out of the way. Not to mention if DH is having a traditional milkshake I don't feel deprived; my smoothie is usually larger and it's healthy.

I simply put frozen fruit (blueberries, strawberries or mixed berries) in the blender using the recommended serving size allowed by NS, 1 or 2 splenda packets (depending on how sweet you want it) and 8 oz of FF milk.
