That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some research and get back to you if I bump into an anything. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could give you help..
Good for you for planning ahead for your trip! May you stay OP all the way!!..
I'd love to find some individual packets of dressing to take to restaurants. What is the salad dressing you ordered? Is it on-plan for the 5&1? Thanks!..
They had EVERYTHING in travel sizes! All salad dressings and even bathroom products and so forth. They also had cereals, jellys, drinks (which I wasn't looking for). And they had all the Walden Farms stuff which I have never tried and decided to try since I could order only 1 little pack...
I don't see any dressings on there that are approved for the 5&1. Which one did you order?..
Thanks for the link! I have a trip next month and this will certainly help...
Would this one be on-plan for 5&1? Would 1 packet= 2 Tbsp?.
This one is and it has 3 tbsp in the packet so that's 1 1/2 healthy fats...
I use the Hidden valley fat free ranch. I don't know exactly how much is in each packet, because I haven't gotten them yet. But it is better for me to carry a small packet in my purse and throw away what I don't use then carrying a full size bottle in a zip lock bag (which I have done). They have every salad dressing hopefully you will find one you like!..
Chris - Watch the fat free stuff. It generally has higher carbs because of the sugars they use to make them taste better...
Awesome find, Chris! If only they carried the dressing I'm addicted to....perhaps I'll order some others and try them out. What fun! Thanks for the recommendation!..
You can also get the WF stuff in boxes of the individual packets here:.
Looks like it's more expensive that way, but if you are like me and live where no one sells the stuff, it might be worth throwing in a box or two with your larger order!.
Thanks for the link!..
The issue I see is I look at these things, but don't see any nutrition info listed. I know what the WF contains, but I can't tell what anything else does. I guess we need to look at the product in the real supermarket and then decide to order these packets?..
Usually if you Google the item and put nutrition values you can see the nutrition labels. So for example if you put, Newmans Own Balsamic Light Dressing Nutrition value in your internet browser you should get what you need..
If you find yourself caught without packets, try oil and vinegar - best case is when you can mix it yourself to keep the oil on the lighter side, but even premixed for you there are generally many fewer carbs than in "lite" dressings, and often less fat and calories and sodium...
THANK YOU so much for sharing this!!! I am new to Medifast and this will be an awesome way for me to try out some products without buying the regular size. Hope you have a fantastic trip!..
