Got a question, hope someone can answer... What are your opinions about Medifast? Thanks for any response. Another question on my mind: The weirest thing has happened, and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing....

I used to be obsessed with food. Couldn't wait to eat, and especially eat all the things I shouldn't: pizza, fettucine alredo, macaroni and cheese, etc. The mere thought of those things was bliss..

Now that I've passed week 10 on MF, I'm kind of terrified of the foods I used to be in love with. The idea of eating them again scares the living daylights out of me. They don't tempt me, I don't crave them, I don't desire them...quite the opposite, I barely even want to be in the same room as them lest they somehow enter my digestive system by osmosis (.

) The idea of eating them quite literally sickens me..

Is that odd or what???..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I find an good answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could give you help..

I am totally that way. The last hurdle for me was getting past my own baking-now that is good stuff-but I know it was the process that drew me in. I completely can leave a box of oreos, chips, fast food as well. What freedom there is in that!!!.

I was at a basketball game Tuesday with my boyfriend and 2 of our friends. There was good smelling food everywhere but it all looked gross to me. One of my friends asked "Doesn't that stuff even tempt you? Don't you miss it?" I answered with a resounding NO. It might smell good but I know that it wont taste nearly as good as I thought it once did and honestly, I'd rather be healthy then have something deep fried that costs $12..

So I'm right there with you, it's amazing how our cravings and taste buds change with this diet and I like that it's for the better..

I can't wait to hit this point again....day 3 today and I want food so badly. I remember the first time on Medifast that I felt this way, so I gotta just hang in there for a little while longer......

Clearing out the junk from our systems and detoxing our bodies does have a real positive effect on our cravings. This is a benefit that people who eat off plan on a regular basis never fully achieve because they don't abstain from those things in the first place..

My taste buds have FULLY adjusted and no, those things don't even tempt me anymore...

I actually feel the same way! I sit around people eating all kinds of things I used to gorge on - pizza, mexican, cheese, pasta...I hardly even notice them anymore. I am craving healthy things. My body craves the healthy things, because I feel soooo much better. And that's only 3 weeks on the program. I'm excited for that type of NSV progress by your week 10!..

Anything "greasy" just doesn't appeal to me anymore....Isn't it great??!!!..

I do feel the same. For some foods, I have actually no desire to eat them. As someone else mentioned, I do have to get past my own baking. I love to bake, but I have tried to avoid it if possible. My outlook on food as changed, and I think that my taste is changing as well...

Anything greasy or exceedingly sweet just nauseates me when I think about it. So odd!..

I was just watching this video online yesterday - it was a news story from Australia talking about sugar addiction. that you can actually get addicted to it like a drug....

It completely hit home for me. I know most people get headaches after starting Medifast for 3 days or so - I went 2 weeks. I honestly think I was going through a detox. I feel in general so much healthier, happier, less anxious, etc since I started MF...

Oh I know you detox like an addict for sure. When I have binged while OP (I am happy to say that I am thru this) I immediately feel hazed, stomach pain, cold sweats etc. Now, I remember those feelings and it holds me back. If I feel like bingeing I go ahead and eat my next Medifast meal and then I feel really full-even if it has just been an hour..

Welcome to the wonderful world of medifast. This program is curing me of my gluttony and unhealthy cravings as well. It's such a liberating feeling, isn't it!..

I still get cravings here and there but thats normal...but looking at all that greasy foods I ate wow...kinda turns my stomach too!..

I was at Sam's Club today (needed printer paper) and they had a ton of food samples out. The only one that tempted me (and I gave in) was the salmon and I will subtract that maybe 1/2 oz from my protein tonight. Everything else (well, except for the bacon) didn't interest me. Greasy smells make me nauseous, same with really sweet stuff...
