Hi everyone, quick 1st question: Tell me why Budecort Budenoside is no longer available in Cebu City, Phillipines Vitamin Shoppes?.

My 2nd question is: From what I see on this program, women can't have bread. Is that right? I love a piece of toast with an egg in the morning. That will be the hardest part of this for me. We just started and are very excited about learning how to eat again. Thanks for having this forum.. it's helping already!..

Your question was: Tell me why Budecort Budenoside is no longer available in Cebu City, Phillipines Vitamin Shoppes?.

There are a lot of foods that I love that are not included in NS. I think of it as a short-term sacrifice once I reach my target, I will be able to enjoy those foods in moderation. But eating them now is just going to push that day back further and further...

LOL your title gave me a laugh. I am so with you egg on toast is the best.

I ate the blueberry muffins this AM, and cooked up an egg, I used half of the muffin for my pretend toast...

I was addicted to bread, potatoes and rice. NS broke my bad habit without a fight! If you have 100lbs to lose, you do get a carb. See your booklet about that. I find that if I am wanting bread, I'll make the Flame Broiled Burger Patty and put it on the Light Whole Wheat Bread. Some of the meals do specify to have them with a small Whole Grain roll, etc. That satisfies any desire I may occasionally still get for bread..

270/225/185 or less!..

You can put the Chicken Patty on bread or whole grain roll. Good luck!..

Hi!.

Really the bread craving really does almost go away...when I crave break I eat my burger patty on a WW whole wheat bun. I used to crave fresh white bread, but really really I'm not kidding I don't anymore. )..

After 2 years of my being on NutriSystem, my hubby still apologizes before he makes toast... Boy, I have to admit, the smells are heavenly...LOL..

I had over 100 pounds to lose and got to keep the bread. Even had permission fromthe dietician once I was under the 100 pound. But I have finally lost my craving for bread and rarely use it. I usually end up tossing out a stale loaf since I just don't use it very much and it gets stale in the fridge and dried out in the freezer...

I also love bread. I think I could actually exist on bread, cheese and wine. I've been on NS for a week now and I haven't really missed the bread very much to my surprise.

When I get a craving for bread, I have the NS pizza for dinner and that does the trick. Hang in there! :-)..

Try your ns grilled chicken or burger with a Thomas' Light Multigrain english muffin... I have not asked a ns nutritionist (so check before you do) but they're 100 cal with 8 grams of fiber (and you get the two sides of the muffin) I recommend toasting it...

I ate 2 multigrain rolls 2nite. I cracked under "bread pressure". LOL. So can we have it or not? I see it on my meal planner under the serving guide. However, I do not see an allotment for bread on the 28 day planner. I'm confused..

If you read the preparation instructions on the girlled chicken or burger, it says to eat it with a small whole grain roll. (don't quote me, but it's whole wheat or whole grain something) Also the veggie fajita recommended serving includes a tortilla and the chicken salad recommends some other kind of bread.....

If you're a woman with under 100 lbs to lose, you only get bread (or some other low-GI carb) if the NS entree you're preparing specifically calls for the addition of a roll. That means the hamburger, the chicken breast, and the hot dogs. (The chicken salad and tuna salad ask for the addition of melba toast, which can be any carb but in a smaller amount).

The carbs on the suggested grocery list are there for two reasons: (1) if you are a man or have more than 100 lbs to lose, you do get carbs during the day; and (2) if you don't want to have bread with your hamburger or chicken breast, those are other items you can have in place of the bread...

Thank you everyone for replying. I know with your help, I can do this! I've lost 2.5 pounds and my husband has dropped 3 in just the first day. How cool is that?? I appreciate all the support! Happy weight loss!!..

Hi Tracy, I have been eating one slice of wheat bread every morning since I started my diet, one year ago, and I lost 114 lbs. Check nutrition information on package and it will tell you the calories and fat. If you are confuse, ask the dietitian.

Have a Bless day! :-)..

I might get flamed, but I have traded one of my fruits (I don't eat fruit), for 2 slices of very thin sliced whole wheat bread (probably equal to one slice of regular sliced bread). It works for me, and I would rather eat what I like (since I'm always miserable on a diet), than gag down an apple (which I don't like)...

If you had over 100lbs to lose, you were required to add carbs to your daily plan. Women with less than 100lbs to lose, are not...

However, that is not part of the program..

If you are a man, you also are required to add carbs daily...

This isn't layed out in the plan, but if you sub out your breakfast for a day you can eat two pieces of low calorie, high fiber toast (around 40 cals per piece) with a serving of no sugar jelly and butter flavored spray. Eat it with 1/2 cup of egg beaters, a serving of turkey bacon or lean ham and a serving of low fat cheese and your normal fruit. This weighs in at about 245 calories. Don't do it a lotsave it for those days that you are REALLY craving the toast, just a couple times a month. Someday you may be cooking all your own food anyway, unless you're staying on NS for life.

K.....

Hi rehabnurse, I am still eating bread, eventhough, I still have under 100 lbs to lose and my weight loss has not change, and I am still losing. Thanks for your feeback! :-).

Have a Bless day!..

Maybe when you are really jonesing for a piece of bread you can opt for the chicken breast and have it on a whole wheat bun. IDK, it could be worth a shot...

I eat my burger on 2 slices of WW bread..

Hi Meagan, I hope you saw my last post you responded to about the exercise program. I was on vacation for a week, so I responded late, but if you go to my page, it should be in your blog. I hope it was helpful!.

Have a Bless day! :-)..

Keep the above in mind. If you feel that you really need a bread item, order items that allow bread or a roll, like the chicken patty, hamburger, or chicken/tuna salad. Make sure that you stick to the calorie requirement...

LambyO, you sound like me. I don't like fruit that much either but I found if you eat 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce instead of a apple it goes down in a few bites and you don't even have to chew!!!!..

There is a brand of bread that only has 45 calories per slice - and it is white bread. I don't remember what it's called but I just got it at HEB, so just go to your local grocery store and look at the Nutrition Facts. 60 calories a day are alotted as free foods, so enjoy a slice of bread if you want!..

Connie you are so funny!!! Thanks for making me laugh..

I truly "loved" bread. After the first couple weeks, I no longer craved bread or pasta. I have bread now with the burger meal and enjoy it but it no longer has a hold on me. Good luck...
