I found the recipe for pancakes using oatmeal, but what would you use in place of syrup?.

You can use sugar free syrup. They are not all alike, so read the carbs and calories so that you do not throw yourself a curve..

Cheboo, you add 1/4 cup egg substitute (you can use egg beaters, or whichever one you want) to the oatmeal and just enough water to get pancake mix consistency. You then pout it in pan or griddle, brown one side (takes longer than real pancakes), flip & do the other. I like the maple and brown sugar best for this (and also add 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon to the mix. Don't forget to delete the egg beaters from your lean&green...

I actually dont use any eggwhites in mine anymore. I take an oatmeal packet, and combine with 1 tbspn flax meal, 1 tbspn pb2. 1/4 tspn cinnamon and 1/8 tspn baking powder....with perhaps 1/2 cup water? enough to make it look like pancake batter anyways...i really eyeball it. these make my life complete. I am totally serious...

I make pancakes with the oatmeal and just 1/3 cup of water. you can add some cinnamon and vanilla if you want but you don't really need it. walden farms maple syrup is the lowest carb/cal combo i've found yet (haha, it's zero) and it tastes good...

I have a pancake almost everyday. Make sure you put about 1/2 tsp baking powder in it to make it rise. Otherwise it can be very stiff and cardboard-y. I only use about 1 Tb. egg beaters and 1/2 tsp baking powder and water to make pancake dough. Let it sit for a while and then stir and add a little more water.

The small size of the pan makes the pancake come out perfectly round. I spray the pancake with a little I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray and add about 1 Tb. Vermont Sugar Free Maple Syrup (lower carbs than a lot of sugar free syrups)..

JNana is right, I think the trick with the pancakes is to mix the oatmeal with liquid and let it sit a while. The oats absorb the liquid and softens it up, also allows you to add more water and make more batter. I have these almost every day...

They have sugar free, fat free syrup. not as good as regular syrup, but definitely serves the purpose...

I mix up 1 pkg Medifast eggs, 1/2 cup water, oatmeal, 1 tablespoon flax seed 1/2 tsp baking powder, dash salt and 1 tablespoon splenda. Just a tad bit more of water. Let it set for about 5 minutes. This makes 2 servings and the pancake is very tender. I share with hubby and he loves them...
