Before I ask my question, I want to ask: South Dakota: Wall Vitamin Shoppe?.

My main question is: She said she makes this all the time and it's delicious... I'm going to try it tonight....

Just take a portabella mushroom cap and drizzle about 2-3 teaspoons of balsamic vinegar on it (depending how much you like I guess) - she said she loves vinegar so she uses alot - and just put it in the oven or broiler for about 5 minutes, being careful not to burn it... Sounds yummy to me!..

Your question was: South Dakota: Wall Vitamin Shoppe?.

I've made that before, too, yummy!.

I have a balsamic glaze that is thicker than balsamic vinegar. Only 5 cals per Tbsp and no fat. I love it, I use it as salad dressing, too..

Try it on the portabello shrooms, you'll love it...

They are great done this way on the grill, or grill pan...

I never thought to use balsamic vinegar!! Sounds yummy!!.

Another idea that I use.

Drizzle a little olive oil (fat serving).

Sprinkle seasoning of choice (I usually use something garlic or ranch tasting).

Grill.

I like to put salsa on mine and cook it in the oven. Sometimes I even put some ff cheese on top. Makes a nice mushroom pizza and it is very filling!..

Prubelle,.

What is the name of your balsamic glaze? I've been looking for one but can't find any in the grocers around here. Maybe I can search online and find what you have. Thanks,.

Hey Jac,.

If you can find it, you will LOVE it. I use on salads as a dressing and on portos. I can't believe it's only 5 cals/Tbs.

I have seen it at Publix, Kroger and Whole Foods (prev. Harry's Farmer's Market). I posted a photo of the jar. It says Modena Italy Balsamic Glaze..

Let me know what you think..

Obviously I'm posting the wrong link. I used photobucket and it's not working..

Let me try again...

Thanks for the info, I have a Kroger nearby, I will be looking for it!..

I went on a tour of how balsamic vinegar is made while in Modena, Italy; and it was fabulous! It was a different "family"/manufacturer than what PruBelle posted. They even showed us how the extravecchio (aged 25 years) tasted on vanilla ice cream! But I just wanted to thank you for reminding me I had some!!! Truly great stuff!..

Wow! That sounds wonderful! Add just a smidge of FF cheese to that and viola!.

Thanks for the idea!..
