I'm new to Medifast my first shipment will be here Friday. I was wondering if someone could show me where the recipe for using the oatmeal and making pancakes would be? I just want to be prepared. I see that some don't like the oatmeal and want to have the recipe to fall back on. Thanks so much...

I prefer the maple and bluberry oatmeals for the pancake. Just add 1/3 cup of water, 1/2 packet of Splenda and I put a bit of cinnamon and a 1/8 of a tsp of baking powder. You really need to spray your pan well as they do stick. Add a little SF syrup and your good to go. Another way that was just put up to docotr the Maple oatmeal is to add a touch more water and enough cinnamon to cover the top. a liilte splenda and also add a tsp of a light butter or butter flavor spray. Everyone seems to have their own ways of sprucing up Medifast meals...

I just finished eating my oatmeal pancakes, and walked in to find your post..

I like just about all of them as pancakes, with the French Vanilla Berry, Blueberry, and Maple/Brown Sugar, as my favorites..

I mix the packet in a cup, with 1 tsp of Splenda, and 1/3 cup of water. Making sure they are completely mixed, I heat the pan, give a couple sprays of "I can't believe it's not butter" and pour out 2 pancakes. They cook quick, and when I pull them off, I give them one more spritz of "I can't believe it's not butter" each, and eat them. I find I don't need syrup, as they have plenty of flavor by themselves. You'll have to play with them to see what you like..

The new Blueberry has a stronger Blueberry flavor than the French Vanilla Berry did, but I liked the vanilla flavoring it had. This morning I mixed up the Blueberry (as directed above) and added about 1/3 tsp of vanilla, and I think this may be my current favorite..

More than anything, I think it's the variety that will get us through. Just expirament and see what you like..

Good Luck,..

I love the pancakes too and made them this morning. I tried somthing a litte different than the recipe here. I added a little bit more water to make them thinner because I kept ending up with mush on the inside. They were more like crepes but totally cooked in the middle and yummie. I also add more baking powder than the 1/4 tsp. That seemed to help. And I added some banana DV SF syrup too! Yummie...
