This morning I forgot to bring my suppliments to the office, I was running late and my plan was to drink a shake when I got to work and then realized I had left everything at home. By midmorning I really needed something so I went into the kitchen at work to see what was there, I found some plain walnuts and took a handful. Thank goodness I live 10 minutes from work so I could run home at noon and grab something. My question is, how bad are walnuts?..

Janice I think that Medifast allows some almonds per day as a snack. 28 or something like that. I can't answer for Nutrition how bad a walnut is though. At least it was something healthy and not a candy bar...

By the way do you leave anything at work? I basically had to buy double of everything so I don't get in the same boat when I forget to pack things in the am...

Janice, I also just saw a post from Nutrition that 1 oz. of peanuts is okay too. So...if almonds and peanuts are okay...I can't say for sure but maybe walnuts are too. I am sure you were careful after that and didn't add another snack and will be fine...

I usually have something there, I ran out of things yesterday and meant to bring something today. I really need to bring more things in because we will begin getting goodies from the other offices soon (it starts now and last through Christmas). One doctor always has specialy brownies delivered to our office...the things are deadly! You just look at them and gain weight. I am going to bring a spenda fudge pie so if those brownies show up..I can at least eat a slice of that. Its not "on plan" of course, but if I feel like I MUST HAVE A BROWNIE, the fudge pie would do fine. It is made with dark unsweetened chocolate and splenda. After losing whatever weight I am going to lose on Medifast I plan on making that goody a part of my life...not daily life, only at the times where I NEED CHOCOLATE...

Ohhhhh Splenda Fudge Cake? Yummmmmmm....I don't know what it is but I don't have a sweet tooth though. Now, if your Doctor friend delivered a PIZZA......

MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmm PIZZA. Now that would be cheating! : )..

Yeah that might be why I am HERE But haven't had any in three months and haven't had the urge. Maybe this is working....Sigh...

Janice, this was just on the ask the nutritionist post...so the nuts you ate are fine. Whew.

Snack Options.

The following are a list of snacks you can have on the program, but make sure to limit to one a day:.

1 Packet of Medifast Soy Crisps.

1 cup of Sugar-free Jell-O.

Packet of Medifast Crackers.

1 Medifast Fast Soup.

2 dill pickle spears.

3 celery stalks.

1 sugar-free Popsicle.

1 cup bouillon.

1 ounce of nuts, unsalted, dry roasted.

* If someone was to add 1-2 tbsp of sugar-free, fat-free pudding to the shakes, this is also considered your one snack for the day. If you are have 1 tbsp of peanut butter this would be your one snack a day...
