Hello, I'm new to using this website but I wanted to reach out to see if anyone had any tips. I have been on this diet for 8 weeks and have only lost 10 lbs. I realize thats a decent amount, but I was really expecting for slightly better results. I havent "cheated" per se. I'm thinking I probably strayed 3 times over these past 8 weeks (2 glasses of wine the other weekend, 1 peice of rasin bread last week and an extra yogurt when I was stuck in the car too long!) Are my expectations too high or should I be losing more? Thanks for any advice! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!..

Your question was: Not losing a lot of weight with Nutrisystem.

Not enough info...how much do you weigh now...how much do you want to lose....sometimes losing 20 pounds is 5 times harder than losing 200 pounds!.

More info is needed if you want any advice, but you are right on track is seems. You may not have had all the water weight to drop that first week. Plus...that wine probably cost you a couple pounds set back. Alcohol is not good for dieting!.

More info please...

Another idea...are you journaling your food? If you're cheating here and there, it might be adding up. You can't cheat your body!..

As stated above, alcohol is nothing but empty calories and will slow your weight loss. That said, Nutrisystem is set up for you to loose 1 to 2 pounds per week, so you are actually right on track. Nutrisystem is not about fast weight loss but learning the skills for changing your lifestyle so that you have a more apporpriate relationship with food. In order for you to be able to maintain your weight loss after reaching your goal, you need to have changed how you view food, how you structure your meals and snacks, how you view exercise, etc. While some people do have large weight losses at first (especially if they were severely dehydrated at the start of the program) and men tend to loose more weight faster than women some people loose very slowly. You are actually following the average weight loss for NS.

You are doing a good job. Watch the cheats. Be sure you journal everything that you are eating and you'll do well with the program..

Good luck!..

I completely agree with this! It was only when I decided that I wasn't going to think in terms of "how long" that I truly settled in and felt so much more calm and focused. Good advice!..

I lose less than a pound a week (usually) with NO cheating and A LOT of exercise. I'd kill for your results.....

Realax! This isn't a race. You are doing FINE!.

If you want to significantly increase your results, the best route is exercise!..

The average weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds a week. You are right on track. Yes, it could be higher if you didn't cheat. Alcohol is empty calories you really don't need. Raisin bread? Dense calories; also not needed. The extra yogurt? Better choice for cheating...
