Your question was: Non refrigerated Protein ideas for Nutrisystem?.

I buy PB2 in the health food section of HyVee grocery storethat is in Iowa but I would think other grocery stores that have pretty good size health food areas would have it...

I don't see how PB2 is portable.

I order from netrition and they have soy chips and Ostrim. They might have PB2 also...

Kurban: The most "portable" thing about it is that it needs no fridge. It was a lifesaver to me on my trip to photograph polar bears in the Arctic. I would take the measured amount in a small ziploc bag and for my afternoon snack I could use a plastic cup and water to mix the PB2 and an apple that I took from the breakfast buffet. Sliced the apple and dipped it in the PB2 for fruit/protein. More than one of the other adventurers on the trip wanted MY treat.....

I use ostrim (sticks or jerky), muscle milk lite doesn't need refrigeration, but certainly tastes better cold, there are powdered whey mixes you could bring along with a travel mug and a spoon.

(Karen, pb2 could be put into a little container and mixed with water on the fly - although I don't recommend the mixing part while driving! LOL)..

I guess where there's a will there's a way! And it is really yummy!..

Yes, Hy Vee which I beleive sells Safeway products but not sure they are a SafeWay store sells it here in Kansas, Missouria and Iowa.

I thought PB2 had to be counted as half a fat along with a protein. Am I mistaken?..

Looked it up:.

PB2 has 45 calories for 2 tablespoons5g carbs, 5g protein, 1.5g fat.

So 2 servings of PB2 would be a protein IMO...

They changed the formula and stats, Birdie. The old stats were enough for a protein/fat. Now, 4 tablespoons with water = a protein...

For those of you that love ostrim strips, which flavors do you prefer? Thanks in advance!..

I use Healthy Snackin's dried meat. Surprisingly low sodium for this type of food and they taste great!.

50 calories, 1 - 2g fat, 286 - 340mg sodium, 1 - 4g carbs, 0 - 2g sugars, and 8 - 12g protein...

PB2 recommends putting 2 (or 4 in our case) tbs in a "snack size" zippy. Then when you need it, open it, and add water. Rezip, and kneed with your fingers until mixed...

Thank you Pam. I had forgotten they changed it..

I just got my PB2 from netrition yesterday. While it doesn't surpass the real deal, it will tide me over. I'm liking the chocolate one better than the regular one though. It's no Nutella, but it sure was good on my pancakes this morning. I'll be buying more. I even got those Davinci syrups that everyone raves about.

I was starting to get bored with baby carrots, but using PB2 on them helps...

You could take a jar of PB2 with you. 4 Tbsp = protein serving...

What are Primal strips? I never heard of them......

Some people carry string cheese with no refrigeration. I'm thinking maybe laughing cow wedges also...

Has anyone ever found PB2 in a store? Or do you have to order it online?..
