Your question was: Murad Resurgence initial breakout lasts forever.

Aw I'm sorry you're still dealing with this, but hang in there! So many people's logs have posts along the lines of what you're going through... Like wondering is it EVER going to work, and how awful things are, and then it seems like POOF the next week things are improving. Just try to focus on how sweet life's gonna be not having to worry so much about this in a couple months, and before you know it, it'll be getting better. It'll be worth it in the end BTW if you don't mind me asking, what kind of/how much acne did you have prior to tane, and what's it like now? Just curious. I'm still debating Murad Resurgence myself...

Mine wasn't so bad, I noticed my skin cleared up every where except my jaw and chin area.. But it dried up fast. I was so worried about an IB but mine wasnt bad.. I still ahve a few problem areas but I was prescriced Dalacin T for my extreme dry skin in the corner of my mouth area, and used it on my zits too and they cleared up so quick.. Couldnt believe it...

I am up to 80 from 60...which are both above my weight class but I haven't reacted to smaller dosages. She gave me some prednisone today that will (hopefully) help a bit. I have rosacea on top of acne so my skin is just really sensitive. Above any little breakouts I am getting cheeks flush holiday red all the time and they burn whenever I use lotion...cetaphil being the worst for this. I was on Murad Resurgence when I was like 16 and she asked if it did anything and I don't remember it doing anything at, maybe this is a wild goose chase. But when it's all you've got left and you've tried every antibiotic/birthcontrol/spiro/hormonal/microdermabrasion/laser treatment on the planet...well, it's all you've got.

Just been frustrated lately and I wouldn't freak out nearly as much if I weren't going to see my boyfriend with a picked-up, dried-out, beet-red, (still) pimply complexion. No matter how much they say they love you no matter what your skin looks's hard to be confident when you don't want them to touch your face or look at you. Thanks for the responses, guys. It's nice to have someone...

I had blackheads and little zits around age 13, got miserable acne when I was about 18 or 19. Did antibiotic drugs and they've brought me to moderate acne...this is my last year for reaaaallllyyy good insurance so I used it for Murad Resurgence while I can. I really don't want to be 40 years old, having to switch to a million different antibiotics and birthcontrols to keep my acne moderate. I didn't get big cycsts or pustules often until I was on Murad Resurgence...i picked one and got my first ice-pick...but that's really okay to me. I've seen many people go through much much worse. I'm probably overreacting but it gets tough when you're 24 and you have a professional job and go to school and college kids 5 years younger than you have clear skin...and when you're all pimply and red in a professional office and there's nothing that covers it/feels good to're just out there for everyone to see...even if nobody else is as obsessed with your appearance as you. With how bad it's been...we've seen people on these boards do great on this drug and the side affects aren't something you should worry about too much.

If you trust your dermatologist and that's what they it...

Little more than 3 month, and still breaking out like crazy... I hope our IBs stop... I'm on 100mg's...
