Just wanted to say I made the recipe in the cookbook with the shrimp and these noodles.. OMG THEY ARE SO GOOD, especially when your rinse them really well, feels like I am eating real asian noodles and I could NOT be happier. Bought 6 packages of them! I even eat them raw, I am totally insane haha..

I made the recipe I found on one of the blogs last night. The shiraki noodles were hard to find. I found them at Wegmans.

I love them. I made a Shrimp alfreado..

Wash the noodles 4 or 5 times them drain and dry with paper towels..

Saute 2 cloves of chopped garlic in small amoount of EVOO, add 6oz Shrimp( that's a lot) cook for a few minutes. Add noodles and 2 edges of herb-garlic laughing cow cheese until melted they enjoy. I was really good...

Maybe I need to try them with shrimp and garlic, but I made them with just laughing cow cheese and I thought they were yucky....

I was looking all over for this thread and finally found it. How many cups are we allowed if using for Lean & Green?.

Thanks..

Really, they have absolutely no nutritional content, other than approximately 1.5 grams of carb for a whole cup....I wouldn't count them as anything, especially since they have no nutrients or fiber, like your other greens options would...

Crayola -.

I got this off the Medifast Dietitian board.

"I'm Laura, one of the Registered Dietitians here at Medifast. While not a typical recommendation or found on the list of approved vegetable choices, 1/2 cup portion of shirataki noodles counts as 1 vegetable serving and this serving should not contain more than 25 calories. If you choose to use all 3 of your veggie servings on this one item, the total portion size would then be 1 1/2 cups and not exceed ~75 calories. The soy-based shirataki noodles typically fit this criteria. Medifast would recommend having these noodles only occasionally because you do miss out on valuable nutrients provided by vegetables. Hope this helps! Let us know if you have further questions or concerns. Thanks!"..

Lucky you- I had them once and that was enough- they were so gross to me I just couldn't do it..

They are also great in chicken soup while everyone else is eating matza balls and real noodles...

I just came up with the most ingenius idea that I will be trying this week for my lean and green! TOFU PAD THAI! I love it but it's not too healthy and with the rice noodles, definitely not OP. But if I use angel hair shiraki noodles, it will be fine! I'll have to let you all know how it turns out after I make it. Yummm!..

Thanks I really enjoyed the noodles, I'll continue to use it..
