This was GREAT!! Well, still is, I am eating it now.
I couldn't make up my mind, so I am eating half with Walden SF orange spread and half with syrup..

I am definitely going to try this. I used to like the oatmeal but lately it takes me an hour to choke it down...
I admit it's been forever since I ate anything resembling bread, but I went crazy with this and made myself a sandwich..
I carefully sliced it in half so it made two circles.
Spread 1 teaspoon peanut butter and some Waldens orange spread inside and it was PBJ heaven!!!.
The juicy oatmeal bits kinda remind me of my old favorite, honey wheatberry bread ..

I've been making these every day, using 1/2 cup egg beaters for a huge breakfast pancake, or with 1/4 cup (makes it thicker and more like bread) to make my "sandwich" to take to work. I've made PBJs and a curried chicken salad sandwich, yum!!!.

Thanks for the ideas about using it like "bread", we have been getting these tortillas from sams club that have 6 net carbs, they are huge, but this would be a nice change too. :-)..
I love this french toast recipe. You don't make it with the oatmeal - you make it with the eggs..
1 Medifast eggs.
1 pouch Apple Cinnamon soy Crisp.
1 TBL Vanilla.
1/3 tsp Cinnamon.
1/2 tsp almond extract.
1/2 tsp nutmeg.
2-3 packets of splenda.
I cook it in the microwave, you can you the stove if you prefer..
Cook eggs for 35 seconds on high.
Add crushed soy crisps.
Add vanilla, almond extract, cinnamon, nutmeg and splenda.
Cook on high additional 45 seconds.
Cooking times will vary with different microwaves, but make sure that the eggs are still a little runny in the middle..
The french toast should be a little gel like - cooking it in the microwave, you will not have the "toasty" oatside. It tastes great, even kids approve..
I add about 2 Tbl of sugar free syrup to the top when served..
That is such a great idea. I don't have eggs or cream soups so I haven't been able to try the other bread recipes. I am so going to use this. Especially since I split my L&G today and I usually don't - I think I'm going to have a chicken sandwhich for dinner. 1/3 cup of egg beaters would be how many ounces of lean? I've already had 2 ounces today and I want to put chicken and cheese on my sandwich, just have to figure out how much I'm allowed...
Thinking about this more, I'm not positive, but I think I can still have 2.5 ounces of chicken and 1 ounce of cheese if I use 1/3 cup egg beaters for the recipe and I already ate 2 ounces of meat today...
That sounds right to me...
The pull-down menu has 1/2 cup of egg beaters = your lean, but that is absurd IMHO, because it's only 60 calories, almost no fat or carbs....
So I just take an ounce or two off my lean and I count the calories and carbs for the egg beaters...
OH MY...Just tried this. I have to let you all know I almost couldn't finish it.
NOT that it was bad, It was GREAT!.

Sara, thought I'd let you know I am having one of these every day! In fact I need to order more oatmeal! I love it and it's a quick substitute for a muffin, which I also love but sometimes don't have time to make!.

I have just bought more oatmeal, a box or 2 of each flavor, and wanted more to do than the old pancake recipie I have been using!! Once again, these boards read my mind and here I find this thread!!.

Ooooh, I'm so glad others are discovering this gem. I make two in the morning to take to work, they're faster to make than muffins and soooo good. And very portable...

Medifast doesn't use net carbs. I bet you anything that those tortillas are taking you out of ketosis...
I know, it does that to me, too. I'm having some chai to try to try to scratch my itch...
Regarding taking me out of ketosis...total carbs on them is 12, and if I have one I dont eat my fifth Medifast meal, I figure it all works out and with over 19 lbs gone so far in 3 weeks, I would say I am in ketosis :-)..
Sarab, these are DELISH! I made mine with cinnamon and a few drops of Capella Banana Nut... it was like warm banana nut bread! With a spritz of butter spray...YUM!!!!..

That was uber-yummy. It did remind me of French Toast. I even sprinkled a little nutmeg in there..
Now the only thing I have to figure out is who I love bestdbbthreads for the ice cream or Sarab for the french toast ..or Orangeblood for the chocolate cake with PB fudge icing idea ..or whoever came up with that Chicken and faux Mexican rice dish ..or ..nevermind, I'll just love all the creative chefs who are keeping me so well fed...
