I can't take credit for this it's from Manny. But I make the pancakes every day and never have quite gotten them perfect. Still a little wet and flat no matter what I do. Here's what I just did and they turned out GREAT with big thanks to Manny who came up with the idea to add the vinegar and soda to the original recipe that we have all been using.

1 packet Medifast oatmeal.

1/2 tsp. baking powder.

1/2 tsp. baking soda.

Pumpkin pie spice to taste.

Splenda to taste.

1/3 cup water.

1 tsp. white vinegar.

1 Tbsp of Davinci SF syrup (I use the Spice Blend flavor).

1 capful vanilla.

Mix the dry ingredients and add the wet. Baking on a cooler flame also makes them seem to rise better. You can't taste the vinegar and it does make the texture better..

Hello, I have two boxes of blueberry oatmeal and I hear that it is not good. Does anyone know if I can use this oatmeal for pancakes or anything else? I have been on Medifast for 5 days and my weigh in is tomorrow at the doctors. Thanks, Sunnycal..

I don't mind that oatmeal but yes of course you can use it in the pancakes, muffins and cookies. Also if you are stuck with it then you can just try some spicing it up a bit. Good luck!..

Where do you find all the davinci syrups? I haven't been able to find any in my area. I live in Modesto, California. Anybody have any ideas?..

I'm in Calif too, I found syrups at Smart & Final, they are similar next to the coffee. The brand there is Toriano and Ambience, they did have a nice selection...

You can buy the syrups at Or, check in your area for low carb markets. AND there are lots on ebay. They are sooo worth it...

I tried these pancakes this morning and they were OUTSTANDING! I used the Medifast Maple oatmeal and SF Gingerbread syrup. I cooked them on my nonstick electric fry pan (I don't have a griddle) so I could control the heat better and it made two heavenly pancakes. They were nice and thin and cooked all the way through. (I think the secret was the thin batter with the soda and vinegar.) They reminded me of buckwheat pancakes which is one of my favs..

Instead of making a stack like I used to do, I ate each pancake individually with a 1/2 tsp drizzle of SF maple syrup and savored each and every bite. It was like a real Sunday breakfast!.

I am so glad you like the recipe, although again I didn't maKe it up, Manny did. I make pancakes every day and always struggled with the texture. Now they are perfect. Enjoy!!!..

Thanks Granny 22X. I don't usually shop at S&F unless there is something special there. Now there is! I did go to the website too since most of these recipes ask for some type of syrup I bought a few but didn't get all I needed. I miss pancakes, one of my weaknesses, and I can't wait to try this recipe...

Yes, Thanks! I just tried the pancakes but had to use my blueberry oatmeal. SO, I didn't think pumpkin spice would combine well. I used Davinci cookie dough and vanilla syrups and then followed the recipe from there and they were good. Thanks again!..
