I'm so disappointed. I have been looking forward to the Hot Cocoa. I think I'm disappointed because I'm such a chocoholic and thought this would be great. Well, I hate it. What an aftertaste? Is it better in some deserts like a see one with PB2?..

Your question was: Medifast hot cocoa aftertaste?.

I adore the hot chocolate, but I never make it according to the directions. I mix it with a yummy flavor and just enough water to make it hold together, then depending on my mood, I either eat it as is it has the texture of fudge, or I freeze it in drops and eat like truffles. Somewhere there is thread with everyones favorite ideas but I couldn't find it. I think if you do a search for cocoa you will. Right this second I am eating it with orange extract and a pinch of cheyanne pepper OMG so good. Some of my other favorites are mixing it with torroni sugar free syrup, like almond or cherry or mint.

Of a peanut butter cup.

I hated the cocoa when I first tried it but once I found this recipe I eat it every single day. Yumma Yumma Numma Yum Yum..

The hot cocoa is nasty! I cant ever get the chocolate to completely dissolve and there are nasty chunks in mine! The capiccino is good...

I found the link to the list of hundreds of yummy ways to make cocoa candy. Did I mention Yum?..

I make mine as a shake. I use coffee instead of water, add ice, and mix in the magic blender. I really like it that way. Good luck!..

I make it like a shake too! Just add a little ice and use the trusty magic bullet...

2 words....mini-whisk! Add the hot cocoa to the hot water and whisk away. I've never had a lump...

I use the magic bullet to mix the hot cocoa completely. it dissolves well. then, I nuke it to heat it up.

I don't think the hot cocoa is anythign to rave about bc it is not "rich," but if it were rich then I probably shouldn't be drinking it.....

The only way I drink the hot chocolate is with coffee mixed in the magic blender!! It is so easy for a 6 am meal b4 work!! I have to try the recipe link above!! Thanks!! Can't do the chai latte or oatmeals...no matter what I do!!..

For me to get the hot cocoa or cappicino not to be lumpy is to mix with very little water-make a paste and then add additional water!..

I LOVE it made in the Magic Bullet and then nuked!!..

I like the hot chocolate. I cannot tolerate the swiss mocha 70. I got a bunch from "free" weeks of food. Yuk...

I usually make it like a shake.

My FAVORITE thing to do is add 2TBSP of PB2*, 4-5 TBSP of water, stir well, and pop in the freezer for 30 minutes. The result is fudgy chocolate peanut butter bliss..

*PB2=powdered peanut butter, bellplantation.com, nutritional support has said 2 level TBSP may be used as a snack..

I stir it into my morning coffee, no suhar, creamer just hot cocoa, I do it with most all my drinks..

I got a recipe for a Hot Cocoa Brownie off these boards somewhere and used up all mine making those. Very good...

Exactly, if it tastes that good, it's probably bad for us. I have not tried it yet. I did try the cappucino this morning and that was not bad...

I don't like the hot chocolate either I think it's *too* sickeningly sweet (I tried it as a shake). I just returned a whole box of it to exchange for the cappuccino. I'm hoping i'll like that better...

Thank goodness everyone's tastes are different!!! More hot chocolate for me!!!.

~~Tracy~~..

I love it! I use the blender bottle to shake it really well with water, then add 1/2 cup of cold coffee and maybe some SF Davinci. A GREAT iced mocha!!!..

I put the cocoa and cold water in a shaker bottle; shake real good; microwave for one minute, stir and then heat and stir in 15 second increments until it's as hot as you like it. Never any lumps and by shaking it, it has a frothy top when done!!..

I like the hot chocolate and mix it first in my bullet than heat it up in the microwave - no lumps. But my favorite is to take 1 Pkg Hot Chocolate, 1 Pkg Chocolate Pudding, 1 Cup Ice, 1 cup water and blend in the bullet - OMG - it taste very similiar to a Wendy's Frosty - so good!!!..

I drink it cold whipped up in the MB with ice as a shake. Or make a shake cake. I think it makes some of the better shake cakes...

The hot cocoa has been one of my favorites. I mix it up in the Magic Bullet and use it to flavor my coffee. I have also mixed it in the Magic Bullet and had a tsp of SF syrup like DaVinci and heated it in a mug. Just keep stirring as you drink. Its also good cold like chocolate milk...

I've been a bit lazy as far as trying out new recipes. I'm on fall break this week and thought since I'm home I might as well try some new recipes to break up the Medifast monotony. I just made the rolled balls....they now sit in the freezer. I made it with a dash of mint extract- I licked my fingers while making it- it sort of tasted like a mint patty. I think I'm in for a new tasty snack. Next up, I'm going to try one of the pizza recipes out there on the boards.....

OK, I just made a batch with peppermint also. I reduced the extracts to .25 tsp because I am not much on minty chocolates...but so far just from licking my fingers) this is going to be a D E L I C I O U S treat!..

Hot cocoa was always my favorite. Different tastes for everyone! hehe...
