Ok, so I'm loading up the shopping cart and about to place my first order. I need a couple more things to have enough food for 4 weeks - any suggestions on what were your favorites in the beginning. Any suggestions but the eggs (not a fan of eggs but might give it a try down the line). Thanks!.

Your question was: Medifast food suggestions for 4 weeks?.

Welcome...I will be just a little ahead of you...I started on the 15th but I can tell you what I like so far. Love, Love, Love the dutch chocolate shakes and the orange creme. I make mine in a blender that I bought at Kohl's, it is very similar to the "magie bullet" minus the price. I think it is called "Bella". I put in some ice and blend that baby up, yummy! I also like the mint choc crunch bars, lemon crunch bars and the carmel crunch are OK. I love the chili but you have to work with it.

It's not a whole lot but I used some of my lean for the day and added ground turkey and tobasco to it. Very tasty! I like the chicken noodle soup and the beef stew and do the same to them as the chili. I also add some chicken bullion to it and tobasco. I tried the cream of broccoli soup, I have to work on that one some more. :-) I like the hot coco and choc pudding.

Well that's about all I've had so far and so far so good. I've lost 4 pds as of this morning. Good Luck and check the receipe threads....lots of good ideas there...

Thank you! Toobthin - everything you mentioned are what I have in my cart - that makes me feel better! I've already started a notebook of ways to prepare the shakes, puddings, soups, etc so I'll be ready!..

My advice? Try everything you can. Everyone's taste is different and your taste will change after a couple of weeks on plan. I was on plan and got to goal about 18 months ago. Then because of some medication, I gained a little back. I went back on 5&1 - and my preferences are totally different this time around. Go figure..

Just keep it simple, follow the QSG, weigh everything and never be caught without a couple of meals within arm's length...

I always tell people to order what you think you would like. I ordered a lot of chocolate the first time around... and banana ... I liked just about everything from the beginning. what I didnt love I made into something else.. the cocoa you can have hot and cold... as well as the cappuccino so if you love frappuccinos you will love that option!.

Good luck to you.. you will love this program!..

It's definitely about preference, and I agree with everyone who said so. I know plenty of people who adore the tropical punch or chili, but I can't stand either of them. Then there are some who hate the shakes, and I love 'em. Try a little of everything, and see what you like. You can always swap the product for something else so long as there are 6 packets remaining (or at least, that's what I've heard).

I just placed my 2nd order on Saturday, so this is all pretty new to me as well, but I find that I need something I can make quickly - or just grab and go. Being a full-time college student with a part-time job, I know that I had to make this program work for me. So I tried some of the bars and puffs and fell in love. My favorites are the chocolate crunch bars, the s'mores bars, and the chili nacho puffs. I also love the chicken noodle soup, because it's the only product I can throw a little water in and enjoy - no soaking or anything..

Just be open-minded, and I'm sure you'll find plenty you like. I was convinced I wouldn't like anything, being as picky as I am, but I was dead wrong. I'll pass on some of the best advice I got from the boards, though: invest in a decent blender and a digital food scale! It makes a world of difference.

Good luck!..

Never tried the eggs, I love the choc. pudding, bars, pretzels, puffs, most of the soups and even the oatmeal. Takes a few days to acquire a taste for the oatmeal, but I love it. I put cinnamon on top of mine. I always make my oatmeal and soups the night before, so they hydrate. Best of luck, you will love Medifast. Linda in Pa...
