I just opened one of my new boxes of chili, and had it simmering on the stove. It tastes very good after I doctored it up a little, so I wanted to share my ingredients for those of you who haven't found your own "fix" yet..

7 packets Medifast Chili.

4 cups water.

1 Tbs. Chili powder.

1/2 Tbs. Cumin.

1 Tbs. Oregano.

7 Tbs. medium Pace Picante Sauce.

1 tsp. Mrs. Dash Southwest Chipotle.

Salt/Pepper to taste.

I let it simmer on the stove for about 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. The water reduced down and left a perfect thickness for my taste. I'll let it sit there for a couple more hours, just steeping, to soften all the dry and crunchy bits..

Someone said a couple of week ago that this freezes and thaws well, and in my own experience it does. Last time I made some, I put it in freezer containers in portion sizes and froze it. Thawed in the microwave the day I was going to eat it. Turned out perfectly!..

Thanks Tammy...I have been avoiding the chili....keep putting it to the back of the cabinet...haha! But this sounds good....I'm going to give it a try!..

Probably the hard way of measuring! I get my little storage containers lined up on the counter and fill each till they're all level. Basically - eye it! I may end up short a few beans one day, but I'll catch them on a later meal!!.

I bought a supply of those square freezer storage bowls at Walmart. They're great!..

Tammy - This is great! I always make big batches of chili this time of year through the winter and I was actually depressed that I was going to miss it this year. I'm definitely going to give this a try (when I order my next shipment of food and actually order chili because I so don't dig it plain)...

Thanks for the recipe tip! I had the chili earlier this week and I found the texture different but it didn't taste bad after I added a couple of dashes of hot sauce...
