I got a quick question: It there a legit online store to purchase presription drugs?.

I also got another question: I've been drinking the Diet Ocean Spray, and I was wondering if I could count it as water. It's 5 calories per 8 oz. serving...

Your question was: It there a legit online store to purchase presription drugs?.

I couldn't get the link above to work, but, I would agree that this would fall under the same category as Crystal Light (but, watch the caffeine and/or sodium content, if the drink contains either)..

These are various questions answered in the e-classes by Mary Gregg, the NutriSystem head dietitian, regarding beverage consumption:.

Question: Can we drink Crystal Light and count as water?.

MARY: Yes, but I would try to get some pure water in addition..

Question: I drink the 8 glasses, but some times add in a flavored water like dasani lemon, can I count that?.

Mary: Yes, you can count the Dasani as part of your water..

Question: Why is it that diet soda is not as good as water for your body? They both have no calories, fat, etc.?.

Mary: Diet sodas contain phosphoric acid which can remove calcium from your bones..

Question: How does tea and coffee work into the 8 glasses of water we're supposed to drink?.

Mary: If they are decaf, they can be used as part of the water...but try to get most of your fluid requirement as pure water..

Question: Does tea and diet sodas count as water???.

Mary: Diet soda is not the healthiest choice...I suggest that you limit diet soda to about 1 a day (that is my personal recommendation, not the program's guideline) Caffeine-free tea could be counted for part of your water..

Question: Is diet snapple ok?.

Mary: Diet Snapple (if it is sodium free and caffeine free) could be counted as part of your water..

Question: What about green tea?.

Mary: Green tea is very healthful and has been linked to better fat loss and there are health benefits to both green and black tea.

Question: Can you drink tea with caffeine?.

Mary: Yes, we do not restrict beverages with caffeine...but we do not count them as part of the water recommendation...

Thanks, Pam. I thought I'd hear from you! I looked at the sodium (20 miligrams) no caffeine. It's the 5 calories I'm not sure about. I typically drink all my water and then drink the "cranberry" juice in a stemmed glass to kill my wine craving...

I used to do that when I was pregnant with cranberry juice...might be a good strategy now..

I like that Ocean Spray Cranberry too, but do not substitute it for water. The reason: it's sweetened with Splenda and I figure I get enough Splenda in my system w/out subbing that for the water. I only drink the Ocean Spray every now and then and stick to the water as my staple. I drink a lot of Diet Coke and use Splenda in my coffee - I don't need any more of that...

I mostly drink flavored water but I count any decaf liquid as liquid. I don't think 5 calories will kill your efforts, but they will add up. You could drink 16 oz (10 calories) 3 times a day and count it as 3 free foods...

Does anyone know anything about the Vitawater from Costco??..

I'm NO expert, that's for sure. I've been enjoying the Diet Ocean Spray products too and find them delicous and most satisifying! I'm thinking that pure water has to clean our bodies out better than Ocean Spray products, Diet anything drinks, iced tea and so forth becase there is "stuff" in them that our bodies have to filter out...whereas with water, it's a pure cleansing product..

So...........I'm trying to make most of my liquid intake water, but I confess I'm about 50/50 water and diet drinks......I'm trying to get more water in however...

I drink the VitaRain H2O from Costco. I usually drink/count 1 bottle for 2 glasses of water. I also recycle the bottles and use them for my portable plain water. I drink/count each bottle (4 of them - 1 VitaRain, 3 plain water) as 2 glasses so at the end of the day I have really consumed 80 oz of water. (The bottles are 20 oz.).

IMO, I think that they would all count for your water except the orange one...it has caffeine in it...more than a Diet Pepsi!.

Hope this makes sense.....

I'd like to refer you to the post on Crystal Light. I think that the responses will apply to the Ocean Spray drink:.

It's under "Ask the Dietitians", "water/crystal lite".

See if what's below will work..
