So I start my 3rd week tomorrow and for THE 1ST TIME - I stuck to the plan 100% (usually sneak wine).

My calories today are not even 1200- with desert. I didn't skip anything and tracked online.

Is that normal that would be so low? Thanks!..

Your question was: Is 1200 calories normal or low for Nutrisystem?.

Ditto what Kompukat said.

Also, some days will be lower than others, depending on your Nutrisystem entrees, and your other food choices. You can always add more real veggies (not more v-8) if you are hungry. Were you hungry? Or were you ok eating this menu?..

Did you put milk in your cereal? The milk doesn't count towards your dairy serving but you do need to add the calories in the tracker...

To throw in my 2 cents, I wouldn't eat so much luncheon meat in one day. There is a lot of sodium in that. Maybe one serving, but not three...

Wasn't really hungry but good to know can add more. Also good to know about the protein as would rather have more of that I was trying to follow the booklet and it says 1oz of lunchmeat @ 2grams fat or less sp that's where the 1oz came from. Since I didn't weigh it- it was probably more.

Thanks for all the help everyone!!!..

I did use milk- and didn't track it- good catch!..

Good point- I need to get to the grocery store so didn't have so much around to add as protein. Going to stock up today!.

Thanks!..

But if you were just a little under 1200, that's really not all that low. It's supposed to average around 1200 or 1250, so you'll be a little under or over most days...

Two if your veggie choices are unlimited. If you had doubled each of these you would have been really close to 1200. The 1/2 cup is the min amount you need as 1 serving...

That's good to know- thought it was the recommended. definietly need more food - will load up on veggies today (not v-8).

Congrats by the way on your awesome success!..

This is exactly why Nutrisystem isn't a calorie counting diet. Don't be obsessed with the numbers. If you marked your book and ate everything in the plan you did fine. The calorie count doesn't matter. Some days you will be lower and some days you will be higher...

What plan are you on? the daily caloric intake depends on what plan you are on...

If you could share what you ate (including proportions if you have them) that would help us better answer your question...

Your dairy/protein servings are on the lower end of the calorie range. This is potentially why your calories are lower. A dairy/protein serving can be 100 cals or less, 3 gr fat or less and 7 gr protein or more. For example, you had 1 oz lunchmeat for 50 calories. You could have two ounces or combine the lunch meat with a LC cheese or other cheese and make roll-ups. This would be about 85 or so calories which would increase your over all daily intake.

It's better to eat lower sodium lunchmeat and real vegetables/fruits when possible as opposed to juices..
