Hi everyone, quick 1st question: Im from philippines.i went again in Vitamin Shoppe asking for coated aspirin.they dont have it...the?.

My 2nd question is: I had the hot chocolate for the first time tonight. I've never been disappointed in anything chocolate before, but this was certainly not as good as I had hoped..

I saved my dairy from my snack, so I made it with FF milk and topped it with a little FF Redi-Whip. I used a little whisk to whisk the powder in with the milk, but still ended up with powder goobers in my mug. With non-NS hot chocolate, I always used two packets of hot chocolate mix because I liked the chocolate clumps, but the NS chocolate clumps just taste grainy, not chocolaty.

It was ok, but just not all that good. Any suggestions for making it taste better and get rid of the clumps? I'm thinking about using my hand mixer on it next time...

I sprinkle a little cinnamon and nutmeg on the top. But it never tastes as good as creamy real hot chocolate or any of the premium hot chocolate mixes.

Sometimes I add a little instant coffee to it and make a mocca coffee that way...

WOW I just got finished drinking a mug. I thought it was really good and creamy. I nuked 3/4 cup water so it was hot, added the choc mix and stirred really well smashing the "goobers" into the side of the cup then stirred them in until they were all gone. I then added about 2oz of milk and nuked for 20 seconds more. It was really very good...to me...

Dr_Moni,.

I'm sorry but I don't have any suggestions. I will say that receiving the hot chocolate was one of the reasons I stopped getting orders from QVC - which always sent them in the box where I couldn't choose anything - and started picking my own menus here. To me they were always a waste of money and a dessert/snack I would dread having. Sorry!..

I am sorry to hear that as I was so looking forward to them. I am not a huge hot chocolate fan but was hoping that they would be a nice change and help fill a craving if I have one...

Sugar free, fat free Swiss Miss, which is awful, tastes better than the NS hot chocolate...

They are ok and are a nice change. Just not what I am used to for hot chocolate. Then again, what I am used to is also what made me fat.

P.S. Always try a food first. You might turn around and love it. One thing I have learned. What one person loves another one hates...

I love it! I add Ice, Water, pineapple juice and/or other fruits and blend it. It's a shake!..

O.o you know, that sounds like a fantastic idea...something to have during the summer when it's too hot out to think about having "hot" anything, but you cant have one of those fruity drinks that are so full of sugar and calories.....

I read somewhere on the board (was looking again earlier today but couldn't find) that someone used the hot chocolate in a blender with a banana and ice for a shake. Would probably work with yogurt and/or milk too.

Hopefully someone can come up with the correct recipe or just start experiementing. Since I couldn't find it, I had the mint choc. bar for dessert - ok but not great...

How funny bayopa.......i LOvEd the mint chocolate bar! It just goes to show you that everyone has differnt tastes...

Yeah - you really need to taste things for yourself before you decide if you like it or not. Don't just go on the word of others.

Having said that, I'm glad I read the boards before trying the oatmeal, it helped me prepare it better. If I had just tried to make it according to the directions on the packet, I would have thrown out all 7 that came with my order...

I like the oatmeal...but...Quaker Simple Harvest Multigrain Hot Cereals have about the same nutritional values as the NS Oatmeals, so I switched to that, plus the flavors are better.

Reading these posts really does help with ideas on preparation and tweaking foods to make them a bit better. I personally don't think many of them are "terrible", but I have pretty simple tastes.......lets face it the full flavor foods that we are all used to is what got us here in the first place, right?..

I usually like the clumps too! I haven't tried this yet, but I'd probably use the FF Whipped Cream too...

I totally know what you mean about the lumps. I have over time learned to heat the water or milk at high in the microwave and then using a whisk, I whip the lumps away. I always add 1 packet of Splenda to sweeten it up. Hope that helps a little...
