Does anyone have any advice on what to do to minimize flaring during Murad Resurgence?I"m staring my second Murad Resurgence cycle. My first was 2 years ago for 6 months and I gotta say I'm pretty happy w/ the results. Although I have started to break out again in the past couple months, it's mostly small zits/blackheads on one side of my face and it is nowhere near as bad as the cystic acne I use to suffer from. What I'm most dreading about this is that I flared throughout the entire cycle, and this time my derm wants me to go for 7 months. I'm starting w/ a low dose (every other day) and with brand name, as she said it might make a difference.I'll admit that a big mistake I made the first time around was that I was a heavy pot smoker. I have since quit both pot and cigarettes and plan to refrain from drinking. I was just wondering what moisturizers, diet tips anyone knows of that can help during the first 2 months on Murad Resurgence?..

Your question was: How to minimize flaring during Murad Resurgence?.

I thought a lower dose was supposed to eliminate the IB...

I did notice some hair loss during my first course, and it was also in the last couple of months. I only noticed it when I was washing my hair, but I couldn't tell looking in the mirror. After I stopped I taking Murad Resurgence I didn't notice hair loss anymore.Taking a lower dose will probably reduce the initial breakout if not avoid it completely. It will also reduce the rate at which your skin clears up and you should expect to stay on the treatment for the full six months, or however long your scheduled treatment is. It's really about the course of action you and your dermatologist decide to take. I was really worried about the initial breakout on a high dose this time, but so far it has been nothing like my first course of treatment. I'd be interested in hearing if the low dose completely eliminates the initial breakout for you, hopefully it will...

Well, I'll let you know. I have fairly mild acne right now, so length of clearing isn't a big deal unless I get an IB. I'll be on treatment for awhile unless I decide to up my dose...
