I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to that question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably can help you..
Do you have to remove them to drink liquids? Maybe if you alternate the liquid meals with the "chewable" meals you would only have to remove them every other time?..
Ugh, I had invisalign for almost two years. I was SO FRIGGIN HAPPY to be done with them..
Anyway, I really think you ought to just deal with taking them out and brushing your teeth every 2-3 hours. One of the reasons our body doesn't go into starvation mode is because we're pretty much constantly feeding it. And, this gives us good habits for eating small, healthy meals in maintenance..
Just think-you'll be skinny with straight teeth!!..
I also have Invisalign and just keep them in when I have shakes. I do take them out to rinse them though...
I've heard that it's okay to eat 2 meals at once instead of 1 every 2-3 hours... It's somewhere in the Medifast paperwork or book I received....
Thanks so much for your feedback! I was trying to find some info on it in the manual, but I couldn't...only to say to have another meal if you're still hungry. I still have 6 more months of wearing these things! Unfortunately, the only thing they say you can drink while wearing them is water, but I've been sneaking in Diet Sprite since it's clear. I guess I'll try to take them out...ugh...I didn't want to have to do that. It's a pain because you have to brush and floss your teeth after each meal. Well, maybe it'll be worth it since I only plan on doing Medifast for those pesky 15 lbs. Thanks so much again!..
I really want to know how you like the invisalign if you don't mind me hijacking for a sec....I am considering these for when I'm at my Medifast goal as a reward to myself.........
Ditto! I had braces as a kid for 4 years but have slight spacing between my two front teeth that bugs!.
As far as the doubling up- I don' t know if that's recommended by NS. But I've definitely modified the plan and still lose, so you could give it a shot...
Well, the first few days of wearing the trays are painful...I won't lie, but I think all orthodontics are. They really are unnoticeable, which for me is important. You will have a slight speech impediment for a little while, but I think it goes away. The reason I chose Invisalign, other than not wanting a metal mouth, LOL, is that they are removable for eating meals, which means you can enjoy things that trad'l braces don't allow for. Also, your oral care is much better since you get to brush and floss your teeth normally. Sometimes with trad'l braces, you get a lot of food stuck in between, etc., which can lead to tooth decay.
I'd recommend them over the traditional braces. Thanks for asking!..
