First of all How do I get started on the Medifast Diet and what exactly is it? Many thanks for any comment. My 2nd question... I am getting ahead of myself here but am curious to find out how many of those on medifast are able to continue on the maintenance plan. Does medifast have a plan once you reach your goal where you can use there products without having to spend to much money? This would be a pretty expensive endeavor to continue thruought the year, but it would only make sense that you would want to continue the bars shakes etc, to help keep the weight off long term,..Im wondering if youde even be craving all the bad foods once you lose your has to feel amazing!..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I bump into an anything. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could assist you..

I am going to follow the plan for transition and then I am more than likely going to go back to Medifast for maintenance. WW worked for me on reduction aspect in the past but when you have over 130 pounds to lose it would have just taken entirely too long too get it off. Losing weight has always been easier for me than keeping it off so I will more than likely need the accountability that the meetings provide...

The last phase of transition, you continue to eat 3 Medifast meals a day. I also did that early in maintenance but am now eating 1-3 Medifast meals a day. They are just so convenient and nutritious. Dr. A's book Habits of Health has a list of other healthy "fuelings" that can be used in maintenance...

I am headed to pick up Dr. A's book today and can't wait to read it since it comes so highly recommended. How about the workbook? Skip it?..

Someone mentioned one time that they were going to join WW to lose the last ten - fifteen pounds (while being on MF) so that they could reach goal and achieve Lifetime status through WW, meaning you get to go and weigh in and go to meetings for free. I think that's a pretty solid plan!..

I really didnt find Medifast very helpful after attending a few meetings I realized I would leave feeling very hungry and would tend to go seek those food items with the least points, our leader would focus on the points of unhealthy foods vs good foods which really set me up for failure..
