Quick question: Has anyone had success with the Medifast Diet? Many thanks for any answer or 2. My 2nd question... Good evening everyone. My name is Kels and I'm new to MF. I just wanted to stop in and say hi to everyone. I've been lurking throughout your posts for a while and finally decided to speak up.

Losing the weight has never been a problem.

You all sound like a well of knowledge and I appreciate your candor. I look forward to sharing this journey with you, so here goes....As of today I weigh 278lbs. My ultimate goal is 180. I offically start my plan tomorrow. Wish me the best..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I got an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could give you help..

Hi Kels! I'm Victoria. I started my Medifast program today. I'm really motivated and I am hoping to stay this way. I am very excited about the idea of losing my weight in a relatively short period of time (they told me I could be at my goal weight by November of this year). I am 255 right now and I'm hoping to get down to 150. Looks like we have about the same amount to lose..

I wish you all the best! I'd love to keep in touch and see if we could compare progress throughout our journey!..

The weight loss will happen when you stick to the plan...no doubts there. Kels, you're right when you say that "keeping it off" is the real struggle. So...take the time to learn what you can about healthful choices and positive lifestyles. Dr. A's Habits of Health is a great book to read as you progress on your 5-and-1 journey. I lost 120 lbs in 11 months...then the "real" work began.

Educate yourself by reading and working with a knowledgeable health coach or other support person. You can do this and you are worth the effort!!!.

Kels, there is something about your opening post that makes me believe you are gonna do this. You just sound so determined and open. Great place to start. You are so smart to investigate this site before you even begin. Read, Read, Read. Go to Success Tools tab at the top of this page and Eat Right.

Lean, Green, Condiments, and Meatless. Live by them. I've been here for 6 months today (wow..happy 6 month to me..didn't even realize it) and I still refer to my lists. You don't need a coach..however, some people thrive with one. To me, this site provided all the support I ever needed and sometimes more than I wanted..

While you are on this journey, investigate what happens after you reach goal. Medifast provides an awesome behavioral counselor named Mark. Feel free to post in his area to maybe investigate why keeping it off has been such a challenge for you..

Welcome Kels and Victoria. Tomorrow will be the end of week two for me, so I have a long road to go. Medifast is amazing. You can do it! When I got my box of product I thought no way can this be enough food. But it really is. I'm not often hungry-only maybe right before meal time. I'm learning so much and this board is just the best for knowledge and support...

I am excited to see a new person! Congrats on starting this journey with us. I am somewhat of a newbie still too, just 2 months in. You are going to do great. My best advice is to keep it SUPER simple the first month, read everything you can, and journal. I love looking back to my third week weigh in and reading how excited I was just to be 15 pounds heavier then I am, keeps me grounded and reminds me where I came from. Come to the boards for help and some laughs and remember that your experience will not match anyone else so keep us up-to-date with how you are doing!..

Welcome to both of you. Come back to the posts every day. It makes a difference. Join at least one or two groups. It is great to start a group with folks beginning at the same time. doesn't have to be a big group.

You all sound like you are ready to go. Just do it. You will be amazed in 6 months how you feel and how much your health and energy will have increased!!..
