My first week I did great and lost 7 pounds. But this week as of this morning I have gained 1 pound. I am not sure what I am doing wrong I have followed the plan exactly even had lots of water. Is this common? I understand I wouldnt lose nearly as much weight as the first week but I wasnt expecting a gain? My offical weigh in isnt until monday? Any help would be appreciated! thanks..

Congratulations on your first week weigh in. That's awesome. I am a daily weigher. What you're seeing is a normal fluctuation in your weight. I have had where I gained 2 lbs during the week but by the time my official weigh in arrives I'm down for the week. That is why it is recommended that you only weigh once a week.

So, my advice to you is not to worry. It will come off. It's not 1lb of fat but 1 lb of water weight...

Ditto to Gabby.. also if you've ever watched the biggest loser the 2nd and/or 3rd weeks are sometimes not great b/c your body is readjusting to all it lost week 1..

I actually went through a time that I STOPPED weighing myself totally!.

I figured since I knew I was 100% on plan, and the weigh ins were making me crazy... better let it go..

Made life easier and when I did weigh in... WOW! enough time had passed to gaurantee and weird fluctuations averaged out..

Everything from water retention to how long it's been since we went to the bathroom can make the scale not tell the truth as to how much FAT we lose..

Take measurements... often that will serve as a good reinforcer!..

I agree with Eron. Especially if the number on the scale affects how you feel about yourself all day. I think a daily weigh-in is for the very strong or the masochistic. I used to weigh myself on WW several times a week, and it made me absolutely bonkers. Some need it for the accountability and reinforcement. To everyone their own poison, I guess..

Im going thru the same exact thing riht now so, youre totally not alone!! I have been daily weighing and definitely not cut out for it. going to try really hard to stop but it's all I can think of when I wake up..

Pretty frustrating but, I think it's for the best if I want to stay on plan...
