So, I am going out for dinner tonight and I have had four Medifast meals today and I am hungry so I am stating my plan to be accountable.

For those of you who don't know me, I lose weight every other week. Bizarre but true. I will have a 0-1 lb loss followed by a 3-5 lb loss. It's been my pattern for 7 weeks or so. I am already down 3 lbs this week, so I think it'll be a big one again this week. Dinner is at a small Mexican restaurant with wonderful /img/avatar4.jpgs..

Drinking a glass of water before I leave.

I will have NO tortilla chips or alcohol.

I will have diet coke and water.

I will order a salad with romaine lettuce and grilled tilapia on it.

I am bringing my own splenda so that at the end of dinner, I may have a decaf coffee with half a splenda.

Upon my return home, I will have my Medifast brownie..

Who else finds mental rehearsals helpful?..

Sounds like you have a great plan! And I agree that making a plan before going into possibly challenging situations certainly helps to ensure success.

If you feel the chips are starting to win do what I do- go to the bathroom! Hopefully by then everyone eats them! lol...

Yum!.

I had a fantastic on plan dinner out!.

I love restaurants that make accommodations for customers. The tilapia was perfect.

When I go to this restaurant with my honey, he is kind enough to suggest no tortilla chips on the table. But I was with friends who love to nosh on them. I wasn't even tempted. Score!.

Jennifer, Sarald, EMT and Beerab: I totally agree with the importance of planning.

It was tough to go to a restaurant when I was hungry. (I'm not usually hungry on MF.). Planning helped...

Great job CG, loved the plan and accountability. I haven't yet ventured out really. When I have it has been easier than you describe, since it has been at lunch and no 'after work' hangout and blow off steam muchies. Good for you, YOU ROCK!!!..
