First question I have is Does Medifast work? How and do you gain back the weight? Hoping for any comment. Second question.. Has anyone else added a tbs of peanut butter in there diet (as a snack option) and noticed any changes in there weight loss? I know it does add about 90 calories but counts as a healthy fat. Also if you order the MD crakers..how do you figure these in with your daily foods I didnt notice them listed on the appoved foods lists..?.

And regarding the condiments ..if your using a italian salad dressing your better off using a light version with 5g or less fat vs the Fat free option is that correct? And half and half would be a better substitute for coffee vs the sugar free coffee mate even though the carb counts are similar? Sorry for all the questions! Im just trying to get everything right on this diet!.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!..

The answer is Yes, but you might wanna make sure and wait for another member to confirm this as I am not quite sure. Better yet, why don't you e-mail the Medifast guys because they can give you help better...

I can honestly say that I didn't lose much when I was using a TB of peanut butter each day. Last week I did that and it was my lowest weight loss yet. I stopped doing that this week and am already down over 2 lbs (my weigh in day is Monday. So it didn't work well for me. But everyone is different. I would speak to your health coach and see what she/he has to say about it.

Good luck!..

Optional snack for both... I have been known to split the crackers and 1/2T of pb and snack away... I start everyday with the intention of no snack... it's hit and miss... but the pb has not slowed my losses, at least not noticeably...

PB doesn't seem to have affected me that much, at least not that I can tell. I don't have it every day but it is absolutely necessary on the days I make the oatmeal cookies because PB is the ONLY thing that makes them taste edible..

And it tastes awesome on the brownies..

Sara and Spazzy - Have you ever thought of trying a week without snacks or pnut butter, just to see if it really MIGHT be impacting your weight loss? Just a suggestion for an experiment. Nothing wrong with having a snack it you need it..

But aren't you the teensiest bit curious?..

Rereading what I wrote, what I meant was I saw the smallest loss to date the week I had my PB...

I've been on Medifast for 4 weeks now, and I've only had a reliable scale for 1 of those weeks, I really can't say for sure if it is or isn't impacting my weight loss. I do know though that I've lost 5.4 lbs this past reliable week!!.

I don't do any additional snacks other than the PB once every 2 or 3 days and the occasional piece of gum, other than that it's 5 yummy Medifast meals, 1 very yummy L&G, and 80-100 oz of water every day..

Besides, I can't stand the oatmeal and I have 5 more packs to get rid of and PB is the only thing that has helped. Yuck! lol..
