I use the cherry SF syrup with the vanilla shakes - tastes like Cherry Vanilla Icecream. Yum!..
Yum. I like the orange extract in the chocolate...reminds me of those very tempting chocolate oranges (I'm guessing raspberry would also be very decadent as well)..
Torani Sugar Free syrups do make a Black Cherry syrup that has always intrigued me - - OK, you twisted my arm. I will buy some today to try!.
Also, while at the store, I'll pick up some cherry extract..
- I'll report back tomorrow and tell ya how it went!.
I really enjoy all this creativity that Medifast brings out in us; makes me feel like I am cooking again!..
I need some help! I don't know how much cherry extract to put in my shake, but I used 1/2 tsp and couldn't taste the cherry flavor at all. Now I would like to think that I'm just so deeply into ketosis that my body couldn't recognize the flavor (ha ha - wishful thinking!), but I think I just screwed up (most likely!). HELP!!!!.
On a side note, I did purchase the Black Cherry SF Torani syrup yesterday, and will try later today (carb issues prevented me from using yesterday). I'll let y'all know how that went..
Thanks, Silver, and to anyone else who can help me!..
Now that is a puzzlement. I certainly don't use more than half a teaspoon for a single serving of pudding or a single shake, usually more like a quarter teaspoon. Could it be that the Watkins brand extracts I use are just more powerful than some others? Some of their stuff says "imitation" extract or "imitation" flavor and some doesn't, but I've found the same thing with extracts from the store. Hmmm... Anyway, I don't think I can help you. (I can make yummy-sounds and lip-smacks to let you know how good the chocolate cherry is once you get it right, but I'm pretty sure that is the opposite of helpful.
I hope the syrup gave you more of the flavor you're looking for. Please let us know...
