Does anyone have any suggestions to improve the chilli? I could'nt eat it and had to discard..

There are MANY recipes for chili on the discussion boards. Just hit the search button on the orange bar across the top, and search for chili. I think you will find one that helps!..

Good for chili & minestrone soups.

Hi There! I just made the chili today - Let me tell you what I do (microwave style)... and I love it. I have these soup mugs (soup bowl with a handle). They hold 2 cups. so I use 16 oz of water and mix in thepacket. Add two shakes of pepper ,two - three good shakes of chili seasoning and then what make it great...

This gives a good crunch/chew factor. You are allowed 3 celery stalks as a snack so I use it in all my soups - minestrone - cream of broccoli. I then heat it for the recommended 2.5 minutes. stir. heat for another minute.

Then another 30 seconds or more. Let it sit for about 3-4 minutes. I then sprinkler a light shake olf low fat cheese on top (take off of lean). It tastes like a wonderful soup (not thick chili). Today I had 3 soups this way and used my celery allowance! Enjoy!.

Yikes - I forgot! In the chili I put 1 tbs salsa! Sorry bout that!..

Yes I couldnt stomach the chili at first either...but I saw a recipe somewhere on teh boards that I tried...i may have changed it a little I'm not sure, I always like to doctor stuff up.

Put all of this in a crockpot, and cook (i used high setting for 4 hours)....

4 pks chili.

1 small onion chopped.

1 can chopped tomatoes, with juice.

Hot chili powder to taste ( I used lots).

Cumin.

Garlic powder.

Taco seasoning to taste.

When almost done, I added some chopped fresh cilantro, and served with some shredded ff cheese on top, it's really good!..

Oops I forgot to add that I freeze this as well, in individual serving size containers....so it's easy to just grab an already made chili out and it's good to go!..

Um um, Gina sounds really good. I find it very difficult to get the chili down so I'm going to give this a try..

I guess I kinda like the chili..

But what I do is take the package, the water, and extra spices (Penzey's Chili con Carne is wonderful) and mix it up. Then I put it in the fridge for at least an hour..

Cook as recommended (I use the nuker) and it's pretty darn good..

I actually do the pre-mix and rest for ALL the soups.

I love the chili now. My big tip is Better Than Buillon Chili Base. It really changes the taste. Also, a little Molly McCheese sprinkles on top with the Medifast snack crackers. Yummie...

In reagrds to the chili, I like to use 1 packet from Taco Bell...either the fire sauce or the hot sauce. My buddies at work, when they go to Taco Bell, know to bring me the packets of sauce!.

If you like it spicy, the fire sauce is sooooo great in the chili!!!!..

I soak the chili for at least an hour before making it. Then add 1/4 cup onion, 2-3 cherry tomatoes cut up small, about an ounce of cooked turkey (that I have made during the week for taco salad), some chili powder, cumin, black pepper, garlic salt, onion powder, and red pepper flakes. Cook it in the micro for about 1 1/2 minutes, let sit for about a minute, heat for another minute, remove add just a little cheese (cheddar or motz) cook for another minute. It is so yum!! I was afraid of the chili at first but tried this the first time I cooked it and the chili is now my favorite. I crave it every day!! Just make sure you take the 1 oz of lean and the veggies out of your lean/green meal...
