Before I begin, I wanna ask: A.&W. root beer? Did the recipie come from a pharmasis in Arizona or from A.P. May's Vitamin Shoppe ?

My next question is: Hi all! I am new to NS (have not received my order yet) and have been looking at all the great information on here. I am not new to losing weight as I was on Weightwatchers for about 5 1/2 years (both core and flex/points plan) and lost/regained 65 lbs twice! I wanted a change so I came here!.

My question is that I am VERY picky and could only find 3 items in my order for lunch to eat and 2 of them were the bars! Do I have to continue eating the same 3 items for lunch everyday or is there other grocery items I can use instead of the NS food items?.

My concern is that I will get very tired eating the same 3 things every day for a long time.

Oh...and you might be surprised at what you like and don't like...especially if you haven't tried ANYTHING yet...

You sound like me... my orders are usually large quantities of two or three different items for each meal..

Each time I order, I try a couple of different things. Sometimes I like them, sometimes I don't. Most things can be "fixed" with a slice of FF cheese melted in, or a sprinkle of seasoned salt (don't go overboard on the salt) and pepper..

Even if you do try other NS meals and still like only a few, keep it from being boring by varying your grocery items. There are also recipe threads that will give you ideas on how to spruce up an entree, too..

Honestly...to make this successful for you, you should stick to only NS food entrees for AT LEAST the first month. They are working on bringing out some new lunch entrees. I eat mostly the same things and I don't care because I'm losing weight. It's up to you, but that's my opinion. If you feel you need to do your own lunches, you can look at the recipe section for some ideas...

I'm also a very picky eater, but I have learned over the past week that I like more than I thought I did. For example, I 10000000000% loathe onions. Some of my meals have had onions and I never even tasted them. I'm one who believes that getting back to my skinny clothes is worth the effort to eat the foods that will help me. I'm sure that you'll be able to find some more things to eat. Good luck!..

That's the spirit! Like Gran Annie said, have some fun witht he foods that you can add in...make the grocery store trip an adventure. I know, it sounds pathetic, but I think a lot of us do!! Welcome, by the way...

I'm a pretty picky eater, too, but I found several things to try. I always doctor up prepared food anyway, like adding garlic powder and hot pepper to canned pasta. Right now I'm having the chicken al-la king. Added a bit of garlic and onion powder and a dash of red pepper. It's really good! When I'm home, I dump the contents in a saucepan to heat up. Makes it easier to add seasonings with more room to stir. Just have fun with it; it makes me feel like I'm really cooking instead of just heating something up, and that is a very satisfying feeling!..
