I worked at kid's summer camp in the kitchen. If you can survive THAT oatmeal you can survive anything........

But seriously many of the foods will grow on you and some of your favorites will start to taste yucky as time goes on. Patience, one day at a time...

I am home all day and I only make the chicken noodle and chicken and rice soups.. but I put them in a pan with a cup of water and a cup of broth and stir til dissovled then I let them sit for an hour and then cook them on the stove top. If you're going to microwave you should also soak them.

The Cream of tomato soup I make into "pizza" bread b/c it's the only way I can stand it..

I'm about to turn my 5 packets of oatmeal into either pancakes or muffins...

My heartburn has noticeably improved. I likely won't need to take my prescription Protonix when I get closer to goal...

I stopped getting heartburn pretty quickly. You may not have a problem within a couple weeks..

I like to soak the soups, and add some chicken/beef Better than Bouillon and seasoned salt. For the oatmeal my best advice is wait a month before you try it again. Taste buds change.....

I have trouble with soy giving me heartburn, so I had to start taking Prevacid. Works like a charm...

The maple oatmeal makes great muffins - add 2 Tb. egg beaters, and 1/4 cup water and 1/2 tsp. baking powder and nuke in a big coffee mug for 2 mintues...

I like making oatmeal bars - no extra condiments needed..

Take a brownie tray (or a small tupperware dish, the kind for snacks), dump in oatmeal and 2-3 ish Tbs of water, enough to make a crumbly dough (almost like pie dough). mash firm with a fork and nuke for about 1 min. tastes like a cross between a muffin and a granola bar!..

This is what I do and I like them made this way......

Oatmeal....add oatmeal to mug, then add 6 oz. of boiling water, let sit for 1 - 2 minutes, sip or use spoon (this is much better method than microwaving the oatmeal).

Soup....I make on stovetop or in 1 quart crockpot (picked it up at the drugstore for $8). I add better than boullion, 2 cups water, frozen cauliflower or chopped spinach. Filling and very tasty...

Soup chips. Best (and only, for me) way to use the Broccoli soup. Add 3T water, spread thin on a plate and nuke 2 minutes and then in 30 second intervals til browned and crispy. Very good dipped in laughing cow...
