I was just curious as to what everyone buys at Trader Joes thats on planSomeone turned me on to the Meatless meatballs the other day and I feel in love and was just wondering if there is any other stuff from trader joes I'm missing out on besides there frozen veggies, fish , and meatless meatballs lol.

Thanks!..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I got an good answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could assist you..

OMG.DE..I totally forgot about those awesome Chili Lime wonders. They used to also have incredible Buffalo burgers that I'm sure would be OP, but they have disappeared...

Thanks ladies those items sounds yummy I will try some the next time I go shopping = )..

We get the meatless meatballs (was I the one that told you about them?) frozen roasted eggplant/zucchini (not the ones with the marinade), ahi tuna steaks, trader joes veggie sausage patties, morningstar veggie burgers, and my favorite salad dressing (but you've got to measure it!) Champagne Pear Vinagrette. We also like their baby bella mushrooms...

Yes I think It was you who told me about them ! Thank you so much they are my new fav = )..

Mark I looked at it and I can't remember why, but something about it didn't seem OP to me. Maybe my calculations were off. Now that I think about it..maybe it was the Carnitas and not the Carne Asada at all...

So question..

The meatless meatballs nutritional info for the meatballs seems to be higher than what Medifast allows, so why can we have them?..

Im so jealous of all of you that have TJ!! We dont have them here in tx that I believe...guess Ill go on website and try to see where all they located and take road trip LOL.....

When hubby and I did the calculations, we figured we could only have 9 of the meatless meatballs and THEN we actually found them on one of MF's lists stating you can have 12! I think that's too many, so we've stuck with having 9. The serving size on the bag states 6 but puts the calories/carbs/proteins, etc. too low. Are you sure you are looking at the Trader Joe's brand?..

Yes we are allowed to have 12 of them. I saw a question asked about it in the dietician section of postings. Mark anything with carne in front of it sounds awesome to me ! I love meat lol thanks for the suggestion...

I agree with the posters, I use all of the products they mentioned. In addition I use the TJs Bruschetta and the TJ's Roasted Red Pepper, eggplant and garlic spread. Medifast posted their review of both products. I also use the Peanut flour mixed with water as a sub for peanut butter. Use sparingly! Measure, Measure, Measure and count according to your plan guidelines. (btw, I will say I waited until I was OP for 4+ months before I ventured into condiment land.

I don't like creating a 'goodie' out of a Medifast meal which may be similar to something I 'abused' before so the PB flour only comes out about twice a month, a tsp. at a time and used in a 'thai' chicken dish rather than as a sweet treat. ).

Violet...

Oh yes! We use the red pepper/eggplant spread also! Has a bit of a kick to it...

Well, I don't know. It says Trader Joe's on the bag...

MJ, they have meatless meatballs and turkey meatballs. Are you thinking of the ones made of real meat?..

I wonder if there's any way to order these Chili Lime Chicken Burgers online? I have got to have some! No TJ's in Montana!..

EMT, there is no online ordering..HOWEVER..I have heard of people who live near one buying it and selling it for a percentage increase and shipping it to people who don't live near one. THAT is how passionate people can be about TJ...

I like their canned salmon and before Medifast (and for the family now) they have AMAZING cinn. swirl bread. Makes really good french toast. Oh, and their relish, no HFCS...

I love their Mahi Mahi burgers. My TJ's has been out of them for about a month and they told me they won't be back in stock until closer to summer....waahhh! They are really good and super-quick to cook (either cook in a pan with PAM or on the grill)...

I don't have a TJ here or even close (we are so behind everything in this town *sigh*), but there is one in Illinois where my daughter lives - so I think I will go visit her and stock up !!! If I could figure out how to ship frozen stuff to you all - I would certainly do it.....

Because of this thread,I went out and bought the chicken lime burgers. How many can we have, 1 or 2?.

Thanks!..

Do the meatless meatballs taste like meat, or do they taste like MSF? I can do the MSF products in a pinch, but the taste puts me off a little bit...

I just ate the meatballs-yummy! Really nice change. Thanks for suggesting them. I ate 9 of them, hope that's right...

According to the Medifast meatless options list, you can have 12 of the meatless meatballs. Personally, I think that's too many and when we did the calculations before knowing it was actually on the Medifast list, we figured 9 was the right amount for the cal/carbs/protein specs that Medifast recommends for your lean meal...

Mark, as I said in my post, I was thinking of the Carnitas. Even that was not that far off, but I don't remember why I decided against it...

I posted this question awhile ago and if you search for Trader Joe's in this thread, you may find more ideas. I love the carne asada, pollo asado, veggies and they have great prices on LC cheese and the 75% ff Cabots cheddar cheese. Yum!..

I enjoy many things from TJ's, but have not tried the meatless meatballs or the carne asada. I'll check them out next time I'm there..

I love their frozen cod chunks, they are so quick and easy too cook...I poach them on the stove in either broth or salsa and serve with veggies. Very good..

Edited to add that the Chili Lime Chicken burgers are terrific! I believe we can have two patties...hope so ; )..

Thanks guys for all the great info!!!! I will be sure to buy some of the chili lime burgers, carne asada , mahi mahi burgers and more = )..

The Chili Lime Burgers are delicious. They each weigh 4 oz. frozen, so you can have two of them when they are cooked. I also add a little salsa on top, instead of ketchup...

Thanks to everybody who recommended the chili lime chicken burgers. I tried them for the first time last night and they were great! it's always nice to find a new lean...

Alymark,.

I was in Trader Joes remembered your post about the Champagne Pear Vinagrette dressing so I bought it. So glad I did! It has the best taste(no yucky aftertaste like some "light" dressings). I am going to check out next time I am there the other items you mentioned. Thanks for the tips!..

I am so excited!!! Next month I am moving and I will be super close to a TJs! I am making my shopping list already!..

So glad to see this thread! I am grocery shopping today and will be sure to swing by TJ's to pick up some of these new yummy foods :-D..
